Positive: The owner is an exceptionally friendly soul! He is very warm hearted and suggested us places to see nearby. The house is practical, the bed with the new mattress was very comfortable. The kitchen is huge and is equipped with everything you need. The WiFi also worked well. We also liked to chill in the garden a lot since the fresh air is phenomenal there. The air is so clean and you can smell all the different scents of all the plants of the nature. For nature lovers, Manolis place is a wonder. We have seen many parts of Crete, and I believe the west is the most beautiful in terms of scenery and general vibe. The location is great for visiting the most beautiful beaches Crete has to offer. Palaiochora is a very beautiful small town by the sea south of Strovles, it can be reached within half an hour drive from the property. During our stay we hiked up the mountain, right at the location of the property there is a road that leads to beautiful sceneries… during the hike you can see also plenty of cute goats! 🐐 :-) We’re grateful for our magical stay! 🥰❤️💖

Positive: The house is embedded in nature surrounded by hills, greenery, and fresh air. You can hike up the mountain and enjoy the panoramic view and the sea of olive trees. You will find peace of mind! What we loved the most about the location is its authenticity and calmness. 😇 The best places are very close to Strovles. Chania, Paleiochora, Elafonissi, Falassarna, and Kedrodassos, just to name a few. The host is ALWAYS available! He will help you as best as he can! He is only one WhatsApp message away! Highly recommend the place! Easily 10/10

Positive: The place is unique - and it is certainly not for everyone. "The villa" is a half of old village bulding, repaired and upgraded to receive tourists. It is totally isolated - you see no other houses around you, only green mountains. We used is as a base for hiking trips. Paleochora, Elafonisi beach, Topolia goege - all are easily accessibele (by car, of course). The owner Manolis did EVERYTHING to make our stay pleasant. He brought us grapes, apples and nuts from the garden by the house, and also domestic wine and olive oil. His mother leaves in the village, and she came to greet us, too. All in all - it was wonderful, authentic bexperience.

Negative: If you look for nightlife, 5* accommodation or fancy house - don't come. You can only access the place by car. You need a car to go to reataurant (there are several in the radius of 3-10km) or to buy food in super. Communication with Manolis, the owner, is not easy. He doesn't live in the village, and his English is far from perfect. Part of the equipment is brand new and very comfortable (refrigerator, kitchen equipment, TV), but other furnuture - somewhat aged. The publication in Booking.com mentioned washing machine, but I don't think it works.
