Summary: We arrived at the villa and were met by Stratos and his wife who were both very welcoming. The villa was stunning and suited our large group. The wrap around terrace at the top of the villa with table, chairs and loungers was the perfect place to eat and watch the sunset. The pool itself was large with loungers and in the evening lit by pretty lights. The village Anmatos was small with a restaurant and cafe. No shop so a car is needed. We loved exploring the area and would recommend Spili beach and Rethymno Old Town especially.

Summary: We're amazed for the spacious Anemeli Villa, such comfortable and the awesome view, I did enjoy lying on the outdoor bed behind the house watching the mountain view feel the sun touch my skin and smell the fresh air, while my kids playing under the impressive cypress tree. On the otherhand my husband did enjoy the big top balcony to fly his drone and watching sunset while drinking a beer. Rent a car was a big help for us because of the travel on the way down to nearest Rethymno which we bought everything we need. We adored the friendly and attentive family owner of the Villa, thank you so much for the help, had my relax body massage and the nanny service so friendly at least My husband & I enjoyed our own dinner time 😊 All the best and we'll see you next time.

Summary: We came in with a group of seven people and two rental cars on June 3rd for a stay of 2 weeks. We were warmly welcomed by the owner Costas and his daughter and a quick briefing on the house amenities was done. The place was very clean and has all the equipment needed. We liked the "summer kitchen" in the basement which is a perfect place to prepare the barbecue for dinner. Often enough we visited Maria`s Tavern on the central place in Amnatos (less than 3 minutes footwalk from the house) where traditional Cretan food is served at very reasonable pricing and with a warm and always smiling service. The Villa rooms are spacious and fit for up to 8 people comfortably. The pool and the plants are perfectly served every 2 days by a "Pool-man" . We were phoned several times and inquired whether something is needed. The Villa is equipped with a washing machine so you must not bring too much clothing with you; we found that very practical. The installed barbecue works good and was used regularly by us. All in all we all can highly recommend Villa Anemeli for your next stay. Here you will find real Cretan cordial hospitality in a great mountain village environment.

Summary: Our first time in Crete and so pleased we chose this villa as our base to explore ! Amnatos village is great for peace and quiet , friendly local villagers such as Maria (the Tavern owner) make this a great place to stay. Kostas and family went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect and we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time in Crete. Villa is well laid out , has all the amenities you need - the rooftop terrace offers amazing views of the countryside and out to the sea, Pool area has been thoughtfully laid out - perfect for wasting days away ;) or just cooling off after hot days on any of the many beaches around Car is essential as the Villa is on top of a hill and Amnatos is about a 15 minute drive from busier areas close to Platanes and Rethymno. Good location to explore beautiful areas such as Spili, Triopetra, Agios Pelagia , Boat trip to Gramvousa and Balos etc. Area and mountains around Amnatos great for cycling , decent bikes can be rented locally from Nikos Galanis (search Tripadvisor Bike Shop - Nikos Galanis) Highly recommend this Villa !

Summary: Well, this was our first visit to Crete and I have to say that this was one of the best places we have visited. Although we got a bit lost on our way to the lovely Anemeli Villa, due to a late flight arrival and a hiccup with the hire car, the Villa, location and amenities that come with the villa made it a very memorable holiday. The owner Kostas , his wife Joana and all the local people in this quiet and wonderful village including Giorgos and his wife Maria made us feel so welcome and the local tavern is only a few short steps from the Villa. The views on the roof are stunning during the day and even better at sunset and at night ....fantastic views of stars and Milky Way! The pool is very clean, extremely refreshing at any time of the day (or night!) and the rooms are all air conditioned and very comfortable. The location of the villa means a car is essential but it is ideal for exploring many parts of the island. We visited Plakias and Damnoni Beach on the South coast, Bali Beach on the north coast and Limnoupolis Waterpark (near Chania) and the were all within an hours drive from the Villa (and well worth the trips). We also visited the very pretty Town of Rethimno. The owner Kostas and Giorgos were so helpful during our stay and our nights at the local tavern and the Villa were certainly times we will remember for a long time! We would certainly recommend this villa to family or friends who would like to experience a real taste of Crete!
