Positive: My stay at Andara Ubud Villa was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, it felt like stepping into a little oasis. The villa is beautifully designed, with high-quality finishes and stunning carved solid wood furniture that give it a luxurious yet homely feel. The bathroom was exquisite, and the outdoor shower and bath were such a delightful treat. I highly recommend you purchase flowers and have a Balinese bath filled with rose petals in the comfort of the villa. I also recommend the massage services here. What a treat it was to have Mona come to the villa and provide an hour of Balinese massage. I had by far the best sleep I have had whilst here the evening she visited. The bed deserves special mention- it was gloriously comfortable, with the softest duvet and pillows that made every night’s sleep feel indulgent. Thoughtful touches were everywhere: spa-like toiletries, mosquito repellent spray, and even filtered water by the bathroom sink for brushing teeth. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need, right down to ice made from filtered water in the freezer. It was clear that the owners had gone above and beyond to anticipate guests' needs. Breakfast was a highlight, absolutely delicious each morning. On days when I had early tours booked, the owner kindly provided packed breakfasts, which was such a considerate gesture. It’s clear that every detail has been thought of to make guests feel cared for. The owner is on hand on WhatsApp if ever you need him and is so helpful and accommodating. You can tell he really cares about you enjoying your stay. The villa’s location is ideal. It’s just a 15 minute walk to Ubud’s town centre, with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, souvenir stores, and even a brilliant launderette nearby. After four days, I truly didn’t want to leave. Andara Ubud Villa combines comfort, convenience and charm in the most perfect way.

Positive: Private and spacious self contained Villa with private pool and jungle outlook. Attentive , friendly and helpful staff. Excellent inclusions.

Negative: A minor inconvenience is the 1 to 1.5 km walk to Ubud main tourist area, restaurants and shopping.

Positive: From the moment we arrived we felt like we were in our own private tropical oasis and didn't want to leave! The super friendly host showed us around then left us to enjoy the gorgeous facilities. The lush tropical open air bathroom was a real treat (if you enjoy that sort of thing) and the pool is perfect for cooling off in while enjoying the jungle surrounds. As an added bonus a large monkey walked right across the back wall by the pool just after we got out of it. Apparently he hasn't been seen on the property for about 8 months so not a regular visitor - but certainly made our day! Breakfast is served at the villa at your specified time each morning, and some is prepared in the villa kitchen so you need to provide access 30 mins earlier. Couldn't fault our stay.

Negative: Nothing we didn't like but be aware that the villa is a 15min walk from the main street of Ubud on a typically narrow road, so can be a bit precarious, particularly at night or in bad weather. There are a couple of lovely looking warungs (restaurants) within 5 mins walk from the villa but we didn't try them as we were lazy and ordered Grab delivery - super cheap and efficient if you don't feel like going out.

Positive: A very nicely appointed and peaceful villa only a short walk to Ubud centre with a private pool and jungle views. The host was very friendly and easy to communicate with.

Negative: The quality of the breakfast was probably below the quality of the villa. There is only an outside toilet and shower and its quite a rural setting so you might get a few insect bites.

Summary: Romantic villa that feels like an isolated jungle retreat despite only being a short walk from town

Positive: The property was very beautiful. It was close to the main market yet so peaceful. The pool was clean and very beautiful. The care taker was very sweet and friendly. Prepared tasty breakfast and was very helpful with the nearby recommendations.

Negative: There was a power cut on the first day for 3hrs at night. The property doesn’t have a power back up. Rest all the days were exceptionally good without any issues. Loved it!

Summary: Loved the stay!!! Worth every penny!!
