Positive: Good location, good facilities, good breakfast but...

Negative: Definitely not value for money! We booked the room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers - we received a room with 2 beds, 1 fold-out bed and 1 coach (pretty hard). When we put our luggage into the room there was almost no space to move around. Waiting time to get to the restaurant for breakfast: 15-30min. Shuttle bus to the city center for 4 people was more expensive than a taxi. Shuttle bus operations for airport starts at around 11:00 - what if you have an earlier flight? This is definitely NOT a 5 star experience!

Positive: Night pool and staff were nice .

Negative: There were only two types of afternoon tea cake stands in the lounge. So basically, you end up facing the exact same cake stand every single day.

Positive: -The new rooms in the coral wing were very nice and the ocean view was great. -The bath products smell really nice. -The proximity to the beach is a major plus. -The staff at the front desk and entrance is very friendly and pleasant.

Negative: -The outdoor pools are all so shallow. When we arrived in the late afternoon we went straight to the pool and the water was VERY warm, almost hot, which was very unpleasant. It felt like a hot tub. Also, the cabana curtains and mattresses don’t appear to be maintained as they were covered in mold and stains. -The amount of money charged for food is excessive when the food is not very good and not worth the price. We tried the dinner buffet and we could not believe we paid ¥7500 per person for such poor quality and poorly prepared food. Even the local Yaeyama food wasn’t done well. The salad, fruit, and desserts were the only decent options out of everything offered. -I was disappointed to see there is no longer a snack bar down by the beach. It would be nice to have a place to get a drink, ice cream, or snack while at the beach. It would also be nice to be able to order drinks at the pool.

Summary: Nice but definitely room for improvement.
