Positive: The property itself is so beautiful. There is so much thought given to each and every nook and corner. Whereevr you look there was art or art pieces. The book collection they had was so nice and different. I wish I had more time to sit and read. The breakfast provided was excellent. Each morning we had a few options to choose from. They even provided us with oat milk for a few of our family members who were vegan. Even the dinners served on each day was delicious and very well prepared. It was very simple yet wonderfully prepared. We throughly enjoyed the wheat malabar parathas with curry on one of the nights.

Negative: The chef although seemed very through with vegan ingredients when asked, somehow kept serving us dishes which were not vegan friendly on multiple occasions. Eg- On the first day he did not serve us with dessert with dairy in it but served us with honey glazed fruits. Which we had to send back. We were very happy that he wanted to serve us coconut sorbet the next day and assured us that its vegan. But when asked he said it had dairy cream instead of coconut cream. So, we had to clarify each time about ingredients for each dish.

Positive: This place is AMAZING. Check in was smooth with Anish and he was there whenever you needed anything. We stayed in the suite, attached the main building. Aesthetically beautiful with attention to detail. The raised bed was wonderful waking up to the lake and gardens. But what makes this resort spectacular is the staff. Chef Prahladan cooked us unbelievable food each night - allowing us to try all the local fish and more. We didn’t have to raise a finger thanks to the ladies Sudha, man jut, Asia, Sini and Reshmi! The report itself is beautiful looking over the huge lake with much nature adding to the overall ambience. Thanks so much, we will back!

Positive: What can I say about this place?! Absolutely exceptional- what a property! From the moment we arrived ‘home’ Anish and the team make you feel like you are indeed that, and can’t do enough for you. With our own personal bungalow over the water where meals are served on the terrace, outdoor shower, warm inviting pool, wonderful grounds - it’s a complete haven of calm and serenity. Anish made all the arrangements for our trips and transfers and went truly out of his way to help us with internal travel bookings which we would have been stuck without. Meals were exceptional and the ladies who served so friendly and helpful. The grounds are kept immaculate! Truly the whole staff are incredible. I don’t hesitate to recommend this place and urge people to try it for themselves!

Positive: Our 4 nights at Ameya exceeded expectations. The bedroom was spacious and beautifully furnished and we loved the outdoor bathroom/shower. The hotel grounds and views over the lake were stunning. We were very well looked after by Anish and his staff and the food was excellent. All and all a perfect place to end our stay in India.

Positive: Stunning location, so quiet and tranquil right on the lake. The staff are amazing and can’t do enough for you, they can organise boat trips etc and had great recommendations. They only have space for 8 guests so it feels like a special retreat. Salt water pool was lovely and really private too. Would highly recommend.

Positive: We booked 3 days at Ameya and added an extra one. Amazing garden, top notch bungalow and great swimming pool overviewing the lake. 4 times upclass dinner served at our own bungalow and we once took the opportunity to join the chef delivering his masterpieces. Everything perfect because of Anish (always ready to explain Indian history and Kerala culture) and his staff constantly running the extra mile and then doing one more. Highly recommended!
