Summary: This is a quaint little historical boarding house in DC. With that comes the creaky old-home issues which I accepted with the choice I made to stay. However, I was placed on the top floor in July and dealt with excessive heat in the room. Staff don’t work overnight, but each night coming back to my room after a full day of meetings and I hike up 4 floors was met with stagnant air in a too-warm room and no one to contact for help in addressing the lack of air. The overhead fan also didn’t work one of the nights and I had to ask a colleague to stay in their room with them.
