Positive: The hospitality from the hosts are excellent. During our visit we were treated as royalty. Everyday a good breakfast, restocking of supplies, restaurant tips, tips for sights etc. The accommodation is very clean.

Negative: The accommodation is great, but the location itself is not special. During our stayin Portugal we stayed in similar accommodations with more privacy and better view for less money.

Positive: The thoughtfulness and helpfulness of the hosts. I was greeted by a table full of welcome treats and the breakfast was always yummy: hot coffee, fresh orange juice, tasty bread, croissant and traditional sweets. There were yoghurts, cheese, jams, you name it, already in the house. The house itself was super clean and super comfy. Perfect stay. Hope to come back soon.

Positive: The host was wonderful and obviously took a great deal of pride in his facility. There were wonderful baked goods for breakfast and a welcoming small carafe of port. We did not use the pool as it wasn't as hot as we thought it might be. And other than eating breakfast we didn't really use the kitchen--but it looked to be well stocked.

Negative: The dining room table was beautifully set for breakfast when we arrived. It was somewhat awkward to do "deskwork" or play games as we had to move everything aside. The dining room table dominates the "common room" so just "hanging out" in the comfy chairs is not as convivial as it could be.

Summary: Old-style charm and yummy breakfast at a good value.
