The couple who owns the house also has their own woodcarving shop with sales. It is only a short walk down to the fishing river Gudbrandsdalslågen. For mountain walks you can either walk or drive about 12 km to get up the mountain. Ringebu center with many stores is not far away. In Kvitfjell, which is about 30 min drive away, you can go skiing. There is also a good starting point for rafting in the river Sjoa. In summer pilgrims also pass by the farm on their way to Trondheim, they spend the night in the other house on the farm.
