Positive: Really spectacular place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax. The longer we were there the more we enjoyed it. Staff were fabulous and spoke good English. The rooms were so comfortable and the pool and spa are the perfect way to relax. Cocktails were great also. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful with homemade bread and pate and jams and an a la carte option.

Negative: The restaurant was really lovely and food was tasty and although quite expensive for Vietnam the quality was very good but after traveling from Europe we were looking forward to Vietnamese food and there were no options for this except a really lovely Pho at breakfast. I didn’t notice a service charge on the menu but this was added which hopefully goes to the staff as the service was excellent. I also like that you refill your water bottles in the room and on the tables they leave bottles out on each table which I thought was this water but after opening one once I realised it was very expensive sparkling water. I don’t think it’s a ploy to get ones buying water but just be aware these are chargeable. If I was going to pay so much for this water I would have preferred it be cold. My mistake I only made once.

Positive: Everything was done to a high standard. The food was delicious and excellently presented. The staff were very attentive and went out of their way to help us find the start of a hike up a near by mountain.

Negative: Nothing really. The only drawback was that the mattress was typical of mattress softness in this part of the world. Very firm with not much softness.

Summary: I have already booked to come back and stay longer next year.

Positive: Amaya Home was a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi city for our last night in Vietnam. It was so calm and the grounds were beautiful. We loved the jacuzzi and swimming pool. The staff were so kind and friendly and added some lovely touches to the stay as it was part of our honeymoon. We had a great chat with one of the staff at dinner and the food was delicious :) they also organised our transfer to the airport which took the hassle out of doing it ourselves. All in all a great stay, would recommend to anyone who wants a calm space to relax.

Negative: We have no complaints as we were happy to stay in the grounds but if you wished to go out for food or drinks the location is quite remote so it may be difficult if you do not know the area.

Positive: Everything. Its classy design, very professional staff, excellent food and breakfast buffet, and last but not least its fantastic pool. Room number 8 is amazing and if just like us, you're after a quiet place before flying back from Hanoï, Amaya Home is the perfect place to be :)

Negative: Children shouting in the pool but of course this is nothing Amaya Home can be held responsible for.

Positive: Amaya Home was everything I needed as my last stop in Vietnam. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by pine trees and fresh mountain air. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely view over the gardens. The staff at reception, the restaurant, and the bar were all incredibly lovely and accommodating, genuinely welcoming and always ready to help with a smile. The spa was excellent. I tried a few of the massage options, from relaxing to more therapeutic styles, and each one was fantastic. The staff knew what they were doing, and the setting made it even more calming. I left every session feeling refreshed and well looked after, I especially loved sipping the herbal tea and looking over the beautiful gardens and pool.

Summary: A peaceful escape with excellent spa treatments, great food, and warm, thoughtful staff.
