Positive: It was an amazing property. Every single one of the staff said hello every time our paths crossed. There was so much attention to detail and it was all beautifully crafted. The beachfront was idyllic and as well as the beds and umbrellas there was also table tennis, badminton and pétanque The pool was beautifully sited and a great temperature The restaurant had an equally great view and the breakfast was simple and well-presented. The grounds were lovely.

Positive: We loved our stay at this property, from the welcoming and very caring staff, to the food offer, the very comfortable room and the beautiful garden. This hotel is a gem !

Negative: We really had a beautiful time but just be aware that the rooms are not noise proof and even if everybody was very respectful you can still hear your neighbors. Also we would recommend to add some sun beds by the pool as there is only 10 for 30 rooms. But really we would come back again without hesitation !

Positive: Hotel was really well maintained and staff was super helpful. The breakfast was amazing! They even made us a breakfast-to-go on the morning of our early checkout. Really nice addition with art gallery and library. We enjoyed that the location was outside of the main town, and direct access to the beach (with no entrance fee as some of the resorts had).

Negative: We had everything we needed, only very small downside was we found the pillows a bit uncomfortable.

Summary: Would recommend if visiting Panglao, without a doubt.

Positive: The employees are very kind and authentic. They did everything to make us comfortable and they are very caring and hospitable. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. There was also a lot of hot water and great shower pressure. Beautiful view of the sea and the pool.

Positive: The staff was absolutely amazing. Every one was so friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and so comfy. The food was also really great. The highlight of the hotel has to be the pool and beach area, though. I cannot describe in words how beautiful the area is. I cannot recommend it enough. The pictures do not do it enough justice. Definitely recommend! Also, the owner is super friendly and down to earth. Lovely person. The hotel also has a library, with books and movies in many languages. Amazing! <3

Positive: I love everything about Amarela Resort. This quaint boutique resort brought nostalgia when I saw all the antique and art collection. The staff were friendly, gracious and accommodating. The gardens were intentionally designed with a nice energy flow. Hearing the birds serenade while I sipped my tea in the veranda gazing at the great view of the sea, I was transported to paradise. They have an excellent choice of mouth watering food. My family enjoyed eating our meals in the dining hall with great views of the sea. The fragrance of the fiddlewood flowers as we walked towards the beach felt ecstatic. The place is immaculately clean, I didn’t hesitate to walk barefoot. Salamat Amarela for the respite our souls much needed.
