Positive: Lovely Resort, great breakfast and dinner. Staff was very nice and helped us since we made a reservation online for the wrong date. Very thankful to the front desk staff. Everyone works really hard to make you feel at home.

Positive: Breakfast. Pool (though the pool water had way too much chlorine). View. Most of the staff were nice and smiled.

Negative: WIFI super complicated - even for my computer nerd 19 yr old. The TV (YOUTUBE or NETFLIX) needs WIFI; which was not hooked into same (TV) due to WIFI password/connectivity problem. Prices - esp. in that the resort offered me a 1.5-hour late checkout at 200 Euros which equates to 3200 Euros for the whole day! This quote was offered to me in person, though in an email to me sent one day before check-in the Resort stated: Dear Mr. Wxxxx, Thank you for your message. We may consider a late checkout once you arrive at the property, as it is subject to availability based on our occupancy. Sincerely, Booking Dept. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No words in this email highlighted possible cost to me. Bottom line: This is a resort in name only that charges way too much for every item.

Negative: The hotel is overpriced (you even have to pay extra to use the spa). Waiters in the restaurant were not friendly. The air-conditioning in our room did not work properly. After being checked, it was still loud and not effective enough. There are wedding receptions even on weekdays.

Positive: Location and amazing views across to Messina. The onsite restaurant is fantastic and the pool and restaurant staff were excellent.

Negative: Service from the reception desk was disorganised. Transfer from the port to the hotel was booked directly through the hotel, however they failed to show up. It wasn’t until we called them that they eventually sent a car out to pick us up. Some staff members seemed disinterested in assisting with simple requests.
