Positive: Room was spacious, light and well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. Mary the general manager was so helpful, very friendly and a delight to meet.

Negative: The washing machine appeared to be out of order. A bit of updating is needed but they have already started and our room was very nice and suited us well

Positive: Standing in the corridor in front of the room, you can see both Mount Ruapenu and Mount Ngauruhoe at the same time. The view is incredible. In unit #10, you can see the snow-capped mountains while lying in bed. Thought the unit near street, but Mary prepared earplugs in the room. Once closed door and windows at night, the noise is ok. I’m actually a light sleeper, but that night I slept very well, I woke up by alarm in the morning! Mary who runs this motel is so nice and so kind, she is very considerate of customers’ needs. She helped me a lot for checkin and check out time. I’m so thankful!!! The unit is very big and super clean. There are no odors smell in the kitchen or around the sink. The towels and bed sheets are very clean, the bed is comfortable. Everything let you feel clean and pleasant.

Positive: The location was just perfect as we were very close to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and had a bar and a cafe right next door. You also couldn't beat the view as we could see the mountains from our room window and it was absolutely stunning!

Negative: The bathroom sadly was not meeting our standards as there was no shower pressure and more what you would expect from a camping site. It was frustrating after the long hike we did as we couldn't wash our hair. There was also a lot of cobwebs over the toilets.

Summary: Amazing view, fantastic location but bathroom needs work!

Positive: The view of a snow capped mountain in november is awesome. The beds were the most comfortable i have had on this trp in NZ. There is a pub across the street with great food. The location even beside a main road was super quite. The other guests were also very quite and nice people.

Negative: Mary did offer us one of the newly renovated rooms. We were settled and didnt move. I had a look and it has been all completed renovated with new bathroom and kitchen. When then finish all these renovations this place will be a 10.

Positive: Great views of the volcanoes. The property manager was fantastic in helping us with the broken microwave. She even offered to upgrade us to a larger room, but it was up an additional steep flight of stairs, so we declined the upgrade.

Negative: The stairs! We now know to always request a ground floor unit in New Zealand. Also, our assigned parking spot was as far away from the room as you can get. Upon arrival, the microwave didn’t work, but we got that sorted very quickly with the property manager.

Positive: Location so handy to Ski Field. Mary The Manager was so good and friendly and went beyond what we required. Mary the Manager did her best to accommodate us… Thank you

Negative: The Wifi was a bit slow and did cut out at times and some noise from other guests. We were warned about it. The room an outdated BUT the room will be renovated as of now…no complaints as our host Manager was super friendly. Thank you
