5 Bedroom Cabin in Lake Lure

You won't get these views via flat roads. 4×4 vehicles are not a necessity to reach the home, but we do recommend using a 4x4 vehicle if you do not feel comfortable navigating mountain roads. Mountain road leading to the cabin is packed gravel and can be bumpy and is steep. It takes 10-15 minutes up the mountain to reach the home. We recommend keeping a steady speed of 10-15 mph and keep driving without stopping on the gravel roads as that could cause ruts forming and will make it difficult to proceed forward. This is a mountain top home.
Cedar Rock Cabin is a stunning 5 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath with spectacular 200° plus year round views. Imagine the star gazing, sunrise and sunsets! The deck wraps around 3 sides, is both covered and open. Sit and rock in the chairs along with chaise lounges and a table with 4 chairs for eating outside. A propane grill is provided for the grill master. The views can be seen from all points on the deck and from within the cabin. Step inside to a wide open floor plan, a well stocked kitchen with updated appliances, and an island with 4 stools for the kids. The dining area seats 6. The Great Room has plenty of windows to let the sun shine in, along with 2 French doors leading out to the deck. 2 comfy couches, rocking chair, and large chair, along with flat screen TV, Dish TV, and a wood burning fireplace make for relaxing family time. There is also a half bath off the entrance hall. There is a master bedroom on the main level with an en-suite bath. Other bedroom with an en-suite bath is located upstairs. Heading downstairs are three bedrooms. Guest bedroom with Queen bed, Kids bedroom with 2 twin beds, and another Guest bedroom with Queen bed also. 2 full baths are located just outside the Guest bedrooms. One has pedestal sink with walk-in shower only, while the second also has pedestal sink but tub/shower combo. Washer and dryer are on this level in their own area. The family room boasts flat screen TV with Dish, pool table, 2 couches and 2 easy chairs. Nap time? French doors lead out to the ground level garden and the fire pit. S'mores are a must. Summary: This property was incredible for us - mostly for THE VIEWS, THE VIEWS, and THE VIEWS!! While it's in the Lake Lure jurisdiction, to get to the Lake Lure beach was a 20 min drive, but we came for the views and mountain life. The house itself is in great condition (bear/mountain themed) and was roomy for all of us. Communication with the property owner was extremely quick and efficient. The drive up to the house was a little anxiety-provoking, but mostly because we are not mountain natives. We did not need a 4WD/AWD vehicle (2 minivans, and 2 SUVs), but that could have made things a little easier. Either way, we will definitely consider staying here again. A beautiful house for a beautiful celebration :)

Summary: very nice property, road leading to property is gravel and definitely a 4x4 is your best option for access. Driveway is very steep, we measured it and it came in at about 17 degrees steep! We saw a beat on our last night there. Top deck is where we hung out before and after our busy days. Definitely would stay again!!!

Summary: House is beautiful with a good layout of bedrooms/bathrooms. Excellent views with wraparound deck. Overall we had a nice stay, but little things like broken pool cues, and broken ping pong paddles were disappointing.

Summary: This was our 4th stay at this home. We especially love the views and open floor concept. Beautiful fireplace inside and fire pit outside. Extremely clean and well stocked. We enjoy hiking in the area which is our primary reason for booking. Look forward to coming back in the future!

Summary: This cabin is wonderful for family and friends to gather together. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. The big walk around deck has lots of seating to enjoy eating outside, playing cards or just watching the beautiful view. The basement has another small living room, game room and kitchette. If your not used to driving in the mountains, please note that it is a 2 mile drive on a dirt road climbing the mountain. Once you go through the driveway gate, it is concrete and steep. We did it in a minivan with no problems.

Summary: Amazing views and great cabin. The road was a little steep getting there like they said in the listing but we had a van and it did fine. We went up and down the mountain a handful of times and felt like second nature after a while. Great house and would highly recommend staying here.

Summary: We had a wonderful time in this cabin. The views are incredible and its so quiet up in the mountain. Its the perfect place for a relaxing family vacation. The location was also very close to popular activities like Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, and Biltmore. We would definitely book again.

Summary: It was everything that we hoped for. Wasn’t sure what to expect on the drive up basing it upon previous reviews, but in all honesty the drive up wasn’t an issue. Had 4wd vehicles and never needed them. House was furnished well with cookware. Views were amazing. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock were nearby and provided entertainment when we decided to go into town to explore. Check in was easy along with check out procedures. Porch was great overlooking the mountains. Great cabin to enjoy if you need to disconnect from the crazy world. Highly recommend.
