Negative: Extremely loud. Curiously the issue did not come from the city (not too much noise there past 8pm-9pm) but from the other neighbours. I slept well one night out of four, and had to go out to ask to reduce the volume of the TV/music/… at hours up to 3 AM because the soundproofing on the door & the walls of the rooms. To be fair, the overall rudeness of other guests is also at stake: blasting off the TV, partying in the common areas until morning, selling(?) drugs & loudly going up and down the stairs 30 times in the night, etc.

Summary: Nice room, good location, no soundproofing.

Positive: The place was clean, the location was pretty central so we could walk to most of the places, there was a free street parking one of two blocks away.

Negative: When we entered the house with the code we were given, the alarm went on and we didn’t know how to turn it off. We pressed a number and after 5 minutes it started a again. We pressed a different number because there was no phone number to contact the hosts, as we were communicating with messages and the response from the host wasn’t fast enough to help us with this issue. Although the room was clean enough as I said, the bathroom was equipped with the bare minimum. Like, we got very small and worn out towels and just one per person. (there were no extras really). Unfortunately, the internet was not working properly. The first night we couldn’t fall asleep, because there was a very disturbing alarm going on from the street (which wasn’t really the hosts fault) but after we contacted them that night that we would like to change the room since we were the only guests in three floors house with many rooms in it, and there was a complete radio silence from the hosts. The second night we woke up around 4 because there was shouting and screaming right on our street and the police was chasing some people. So, it does gave us the chills that maybe the neighborhood was a bit sketchy.
