Positive: Well outfitted kitchen, location was central, clean and updated apartment.

Negative: We didn’t like the pillows at all, they could use an upgrade. The shower wand did not stay on the holder which made washing hair a challenge. The bathroom fan was super loud and needs replacing.

Positive: We wanted to stay in the Alfama area for this visit. This was good distance from the many of the places we wanted to visit and explore. The check in procedure and communication was easy. It was a last minute booking, as our first booking was flooded from the storm that hit Lisbon. I don’t know if we would have been lucky enough to find this during peak season. The apartment was well stocked if we chose to make meals. This was an “easy” walk from the train station.

Negative: There was no air conditioning, which wasn’t a huge problem for us in November. But the bedroom has no windows or air circulation. We travelled with minimal luggage, but the cobblestones and luggage make it tricky. I used a Lisbon Taxi for my early morning flight, so I did not have to deal with the cobblestones in the dark with luggage. An Uber would not be able to access the street. You also need to be able to handle luggage going up steep staircase.

Summary: Well appointed apartment in historic area of Lisbon.

Negative: Stairs are too tiny as it is older part of Lisbon. Can’t do much if one wants to stay in such a historic location.
