Summary: The hotel is of a great build quality. Awesome views of the mountain range. Pool is a good generous size and pleasant to hang out. Breakfast was excellent quality for €10. Rooms are comfortable, albeit a bit small.

Summary: If you want a quiet mountain retreat, this is the place. Don't expect tourists, or tourist focused activities. It's a tiny town in the mountains. Perfect if you want peace, mountains, trails, and to meet real local people who aren't putting on a show for tourists.

Summary: Remotely situated place in a small vilage that really surprised us. Its a big place with interesting interior and wonderful outdoor terasse and pool However it seemed like the hotel pool was a playground for all kids in the area and as much as i appreciate that it made it close to impossible to use the pool in the daytime. Sitting on the terasse was a noisy experience, but as long as the kids very happy it was ok. Breakfast and other things destined fir your stomach were reasonably priced and there were a few nice restaurants in the village

Summary: I chose this hotel not only because of the favorable price compared to the beach properties in August, but because of its location too - it's similarly near (or far) to Chania (where my airport was) and Heraklion, which is the main city on the island. Not to mention Rethymo, which is probably the most charming town in Crete. The room size and condition is very good, the whole hotel looks nice and charming. Their breakfast is quite good, the wifi... I didn't even think about it, that's how good it was. The mountain air is great, nights are cool and the sleep quality is just great - and it's so quiet in this little village in the middle of the mountain. Oh, and it's very, very clean! The only minus for me was the reception working hours (7-21), but that didn't limit my freedom, even though I was leaving very early - they told me to just drop the keys at the reception. It would only be a problem if you arrive very late - but this just wasn't my case.
