Positive: Cipollo, pepperino, anotonio, Michele, privacy, view, space. We can’t get over this spot!!! Memory foam pillows. Most perfect service and a GEM in molise. We want to tell everyone and make this province famous. We lovvvvvvvves this spot!! Favourite stay of our trip. Beautiful. Beyond any expectations.

Positive: Albergo Diffuso La Piana dei Mulini was an absolute surprise. This old ruin has been meticulously restored and brought into the 21st century. The decor is beautiful and soothing. Michele, our host, was very generous with his time and offered magnificent breakfasts. There was nothing he could not do for us. I would highly recommend this accommodation when exploring Molise.

Positive: This boutique farm stay hotel is very unique and pretty for the location. It also has a very nice restaurant and outside terrace. Unfortunately we didn't have the whole experience of staying in this hotel, they sent us for a 5 -10 minute drive up in the mountain to a farm house, with beautiful views of the surrounding towns, therefore my review is based on this experience. My daughter loved the cats on the property and took two of them into the house with us, so if you like pets with a view of the valley, this is a nice place to be.

Negative: The staff didn't greet us when we arrived, When we called for someone to assist with check in, they seemed bothered, or maybe just tired. We were sent off to a home about 5 to 10 minute drive away, up the mountain, so not feasible to walk for breakfast, luckily we had a car. They offered no water on a hot day. The home was isolated and you needed a car to get any necessity. Breakfast included was a tray of baked cakes and then they brought us some grapes, so be prepared for no eggs and bacon. No air conditioning in the middle of August, the breeze wasn't enough for 40 degree weather. The house was clean but the sheets could have been cleaned better. For a three night stay we made it work, but I rather have stayed in the main lodge and not a drive up the mountain, or I would have booked that instead.

Positive: Food was fantastic - local produce, wonderful flavours. The host was very solicitous - and the other staff. Peaceful. beautiful old buildings. Lovely ducks and stream, and clouds of blue butteflies. Easy access and parking. Very central for seeing all the glorious hill towns and ruins of Molise - and the sea.

Negative: Decor our sitting room - but a very minor quibble.

Summary: Perfect. Food so good had most meals there. Peaceful, comfortable, well situated. Excellent care.
