Positive: Just a 20 minute drive from the highway passing Palmanova, it’s a hidden gem in San Lorenzo / Manzano. The guest house was built in the XVII. century and you can still feel the ancient vibe in every part of the building. Spacious rooms, original interiour. The host who managed the guest house is a real gentleman. Simple but tasty breakfast. It’s a small village, however it worth to walk around a bit. If you stay here, go for dinner to Osteria Driutti. You won’t regret it.

Positive: Breakfast was ok, it was the genaral italian breakfast whish is for us a bit poor, no meat, no vegetables, but more sweet things and cereals. However the host was very kind.

Negative: There were multiple insects in the room, the cleanliness could have been better. My daugther skipped the showere since we there was a spider and another isnect inside the shower. The bathroom is very retro, and not in the good way. The room was cold it supposed to heat up with an AC, but the AC was very loud so we couldn't sleep with that thing in. we turned it off but the night was very cold.

Summary: The place would need a very thorough renovation (heating system, bathroom) and better cleaning.

Positive: The beds were reasonably comfortable and the room was clean.

Negative: Firstly host was not a happy person and was happy not to provide us with rooms unless we arrived before 10:00pm - so that we would not disturb other guests, what we noticed that the place was quite busy around 23:00 when other guests were coming back from a night out. Then we had water from the toilet unit running until we actually closed the valve?? as the toilet flushing unit was broken. And the last thing was apparent breakfast - not sure what was served but a few pieces of bread and butter/jam was hardly a breakfast.

Positive: Our first trip to Italy on our road trip from Bosnia to Switzerland we booked this place looking for a quiet overnight stay nearby the highway but also not far from Udine which we wanted to visit the next day. The location was perfect, cute village, beautiful estate. We had a lovely evening stroll in the neighboring wine yards and had the chance to visit the horse stalls that belong to the landlord of the estate. Our host, Sandro, was one of the nicest ones we have had on our travels. Jolly fella who was culturally sensitive and shared fun stories of his own travels. He made sure we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Extra points for the delicious breakfast with local made produce. All vegetarian. Our room was lovely with authentic old Italian farm house interior style and furniture. As we came back home to Bosnia, traveling again through Italy, we wanted to spend the night here again. Unfortunately, it was fully booked. We will return though!
