Positive: Breakfast was at the most popular local bar that gave you a local experience. We were in old town up high with amazing views. A short walk down to main square and pedonale street. Salvatore our host was amazing, helping us with luggage, info for the area and was ready to help you at anytime. He even booked our boat trip, just a super nice person. I would definitely come back over and over again. Rooms were super clean and newly designed. Loved visiting this place.

Negative: Nothing to not like, it was a beautiful place, beautiful owner and wonderful views.

Positive: My stay in Amantea at Al Duomo was excellent as expected. Amantea is a lovely little gem in the south of Italy, and staying at Al Duomo enhanced the experience. Firstly, Salvatore and Francesca are fantastic hosts, ensuring check-in was smooth, providing helpful info daily, and offering rides. These hosts take pride in their job and they truly want you to have a great time in Amantea. Amantea is a nice town to experience anywhere from 2 days to one week. The beach is lovely, each day the waves slightly different. There are many Lido at the beach, so you have many choices. You are forewarned, as the other reviews suggest, that the walk up to Al Duomo has many steps; however, I was offered rides up several times but chose to walk (as I love to walk). If you want to experience true Calabrese culture, Amantea is an excellent choice, and Al Duomo was amazing!

Positive: Excellent bnb in a gorgeous part of old Amantea. the room was big and comfortable, the owners were responsive and even picked me up and dropped me off at the train station. The view from the room was incredible, and the room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. I will definitely be back.

Positive: Amantea is such a beautiful little city in Italy & I wish it got as much attention as other more hard-to-reach tourist destinations (aka, not having to deal with as many vespas not obeying traffic rules; sidewalks to use; etc.). Another great quality of the city is its lodging and Al Duomo B&B is one of those places. Firstly, I recommend reserving with them directly to avoid any issues with 3rd parties and also to be able to deal directly with them versus an outside company. Secondly, use the chat function as speaking with Francesca will bring a smile to your day whenever you speak with her. When she needed to follow up or if I had questions, she was not only available and replied readily but she was kind. Thirdly, she and her father are very sweet. Some of the sweetest humans in Amantea, I feel. They helped with our ridiculous amount of luggage to the room, & wouldn’t accept a tip! When it turned out that my mom could not walk all the stairs to the room, they worked on a solution with us that would benefit all parties. We will forever be grateful to them for their assistance, kindness, and understanding. Lastly, the partner place to get breakfast is very cute and tasty. Their pastries were to die for! If you want a beautiful stay in Amantea, this is where to do it! Just know that you will reach your 10,000 steps a day quota when staying here, but it won’t matter since you’ll be smiling from the great service they provide.

Positive: A truly beautiful B&B in a stunning location... The only issue had nothing to do with the B&B but rather the roads. Literally, every possible way to drive to the B&B was closed. Luckily, we are still (somewhat) able to climb the steep steps to get to it.

Negative: The stairs were somewhat difficult for my parents to drag their bags up to get to the room, but we managed ok!

Summary: Francesca and her father were absolutely wonderful hosts! Sea view rooms were amazing!
