Summary: What a lovely place. The owner speaks very little English, but on our first morning he’d asked his son to come and explain the area to us. The room was very comfortable, the heating was on (mid April) and it was cosy. The shower room is clean and the shower was great, but the room is very small with wooden doors that open out. The traditional breakfast was excellent and blackcurrant juice was available as I don’t drink cay (chai) or coffee. There’s a lovely terrace and when we came back mid afternoon, our host brought juice and biscuits out to us. It’s a 5 minute walk downhill to the main square. The access from the main road is @ 200m of traditional cobbles, but we had a safe and hard standing surface for our motorcycles inside the gates

Summary: Akbulut Konak is a beautiful old Ottoman house set in its own peaceful garden just far enough out of the old town but still walkable. The host is extremely attentive and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of homemade jams, cheeses, eggs, bread and pastries. We coukd not fault our stay here in August and woukd recommend to everyone.

Summary: Beautiful property set in a an old Ottoman house with a garden. It's within walking distance of the Safranbolu town centre, which has plenty of eating & shopping options. The owners are the sweetest, nicest people, very personable & helpful. The breakfast is a big & delicious spread with lovely personal touches, like the homemade jams. We loved Safranbolu as a town and would love to visit again. If we do, we'll be sure to stay at Akbulut Konak again.

Summary: This property is a hidden gem. It has a unique style. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great view. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The gave us advice on were to shop and eat. The breakfast was great with plenty of options. Definitely worth it.

Summary: The hotel is in working distance to all historical areas. The staff is very friendly and helpful to tell us all the information. The hotel is ottoman style. The room is very clean. We also enjoy their wonderful ottoman style breakfast.

Summary: This is in an old Ottoman house. It is thus very historic and quaint. The small bathroom is modern. It is an interesting place to stay at. The owner was extremely kind and helpful.

Summary: The most relaxing and peaceful sanctuary! Everybody at Akbulut Konak is incredibly kind and helpful and the breakfast is an absolute superstar. Akbulut Konak is also walkable to museums, restaurants, cafes and shopping. If you want the perfect place to stay in Safranbolu, this is it - you will absolutely love it!

Summary: We travelled right in time back to Ottoman time in 1700’s … Certainly schedule to experience this historical hotel once you plan a visit to Safranbolu !

Summary: Historically perfect- clean and breakfast delicious- had a nap on the swing chair after walking Safranbolu historical old town. Make sure to take walking sticks to really take in all the views in town - location was perfect!!
