Positive: The house is in a great location for exploring the Dales. I visit the area often but this was my first time at this accommodation. It's in an easy and convenient location, very quiet and makes you feel like you're (happily) in the middle of nowhere, while still having good amenities nearby (farm shop, pubs, the co-op in Gargrave). The house was supplied with everything you need during a self-catering stay. We loved the quirky layout and how spacious it is for the price. Ideally located for various walks, not too far from Malham or venturing further into the Dales. The walk from the house to Hanlith along the river was lovely, although a bit boggy due to the weather, but that doesn't bother us. It was a perfect midweek getaway, and we look forward to returning again.

Negative: The bed was a little soft for our liking. But it didn't impact negatively to our stay.

Positive: Great location, within walking distance of beautiful places and on the Pennine Way (or short car journeys). Local teashops and pubs had good tea, beer, cakes and food. Nearby Farm Shop cafe recommended. A friendly area. A well set up flat, with comfortable beds and everything that was needed.

Positive: Location, clean and well maintained. The attention to detail, books, games little blackboard notes for information. The pictures too were lovely. It is a great place for a Dales holiday. Ideal for walking straight from the door. We had a great time.

Negative: The only small issue for us was the layout and comfort of the sofas in the lounge, with some minor changes this could be improved. I would swap the sofas so that the larger more comfortable was nearer the window to allow for easier TV viewing. As we were out most of the day it was only used for an hour in the evening so not a big problem for us.

Summary: Beautiful Dales walking trip with family in a great apartment which was beautifully kept and well maintained.

Negative: The two interior staircases need an easy grip handrail as they were narrow and difficult to negotiate for older visitors. The lounge was sufficient but not overly comfortable . The furniture could be arranged a little better for watching TV
