Positive: The Valle Isola is in a wonderful area surrounded by lakes and wildlife, notably flamingo and herons. The garden and woods surrounding the house are lovely and the house itself is charmingly traditional. We enjoyed Simon's home 'slow' cooking for two nights in the evening. Locally cured meats and cheese, a good selextion of wines, homemade pasta (pumpkin tortellini with liquorice sauce, tagliatellli with asparagus and duck) and woke to the sound of birdsong each day.

Negative: The evening meal was relatively expensive compared with the cost of the rooms. - over 40€ per head for two courses with wine. The menu was spoken so hard to gauge what you were spending.
