Positive: The premises is very nice, beautifully decorated. The swimming pool is nice, but could be cleaner. Nice playground for my kid to play. The staff were friendly and always available. The room was cleaned every day and was quite comfortable.

Negative: The biggest disappointment was having a room with a window facing a brick wall. Basically, it was not a real window, so you could not get any outside air inside. Also, the room had no natural light. They should have mentioned this in the listing. I asked them if they had another room with a window, but they were all taken. To compensate they offered us to use their spa for 1 hour free of charge, which is a nice gesture. The next disappointment was the breakfast. When we stay at an Agriturismo we expect some locally produced food. Not one ingredient or product was local. It was all from the supermarket. Toast bread, industrial marmalade, industrial fruit juice, industrial ham. There were no cheeses, which was also disappointing. Most of the food offered were sweets like doughnuts, cookies and cake. For the second and third morning they offered to make us fried eggs and bacon, which we gladly accepted, due to the disappointing first breakfast. Basically, this place should not qualify as an Agriturismo, which means a tourist farm, but it is simply a hotel. Unfortunately there was also a third disappointment. On the second night they organised a party for non-guests in the restaurant downstairs, which was extremely loud and did not end until 2 am. Luckily our daughter fell asleep, but we couldn't. The queen size bed was fine, but the second couch bed was terrible. I don't think two adults could lie on there. However, they call this a quadruple room which should be able to sleep 4 adults. The mattress was extremely thin and the bed was very uncomfortable.

Positive: Breakfast was good, Riccardo and Marianna were very helpful.

Negative: There was absolutely no one in charge to welcome us, and never there for anything else. This shouldn’t be rated as an agritourismo!

Positive: The aguritismo and its setting were just wonderful...as were the pool area and childrens' playground. The breakfast was fantastic and the lady assisting with the breakfast was helpful and just lovely. It is located in quiet area close to Gerace (even if a challenging drive there!).

Negative: I have never had to write a bad review prior to this stay but in this case I think it is justified. We were the only guests at the agriturismo for this night. When we arrived the owners son treated us as if we were just an inconvenience. It was the most strange reception. Communication was an issue but that normally doesn't matter. At 1.30am, in heavy rain, our room flooded through the ceiling...obviously not their fault. We moved furniture and moped the floor with towels etc. ...we contacted the owner by phone as they were not on site and on arrival we were shown another larger room, we moved ourselves and that was all...nothing more said about it. In the morning the owners son barely acknowledged us again, so after our sleepless night we paid and left....also, must mention that there was no hot water for a shower on the night of our arrival.

Summary: Nice place but an unwelcome stay.
