Positive: Nice place in beautiful countryside, quite remote, so having dinner option was very useful, good food, too! Enjoyed the swimming pool, sometimes had it to ourselves, handy for excursions/ day trips etc.

Negative: Nothing really, for the price, it was very good value for money. The staff were really good, pleasant and attentive, but the fact that they live off-site meant that sometimes it was unstained, although they were very quick replying to messages. I've noticed more and more B&B's / small hotels are doing the same, so it's not really a criticism.

Positive: Beautiful farm stay. Lovely views, amazing staff, lovely 4 course dinner for 30 euro. We loved sitting by the pool watching the sunset. There’s a Despar right down the road. Highly recommend.

Positive: What a hidden gem! We spent 5 days at Don Carlo, a beautiful place surrounded by hills and olive trees fields. Anna and Rosa are two lovely and friendly hosts The place is really nicely decorated with loads of charm and great atmosphere. And the dinner is one of the best dinners we had in Sicily.Rosa cooked up an excellent 4 course meal every night Definitely a place to recommend. Thanks for making our stay a memorable one 10/10!

Positive: Really nice property set amongst the rolling hills with great views. Breakfast is tasty and pool area is very relaxing and most of the staff were lovely - read on for only negative in that respect.

Negative: Rooms were a bit tired. Our curtain was torn, one of the lights didn’t work (and it was quite dark in the room anyway). The shower overfilled and was a bit cramped in the bathroom. The door lock was incredibly stiff and took us about 5 minutes to get out (we thought we might be locked inside). The welcome was quite short and brusque without any local tips/recommendations. The dinner is also quite pricey but was good (as mentioned in other reviews), make sure to ask about the price beforehand if you’re worried about cost. However, the biggest disappointment was upon checkout - the owner tried to charge us again despite us having booked the accommodation through ‘booking.com’. Her exact words were “you have paid booking.com but you haven’t paid me” and she tried to charge us the entire price of our two night stay AGAIN! It’s only because I’m meticulously well-prepared and knew we had paid that she eventually relented. I complained to booking.com who contacted her to confirm we had paid. It was not a nice experience to finish our stay sadly and left us with a bad taste :(

Positive: Good buffet breakfast. Excellent dinner available at extra cost with choice of wine to buy. A good location with plenty of places to visit.our favourite was a visit to Erice using the cable car from Trapani. An excellent outside area with a great pool.

Negative: Wish we were able to ask about places to visit and where to eat on a night. But that’s our fault as we couldn’t speak Italian. No room service. Felt the whole property lacked a personal touch other than our evening meal
