Summary: The stay started out great with a dip in the pool and hottub, then smores around the campfire. Beautiful property and well manicured lawn. However the bed above us (we were in suite 1) is in serious need of replacing. It was very squeaky and woke us up during the night during the other couple's activities. Also the folks in suite 6 played loud music all night and were loud. The room was clean and we had everything we need but unfortunately we could not sleep very good and woke up exhausted. The walls need some sound proofing or something.

Summary: Three of us had an amazing time in the 2 bedroom villa! Kitchen was often and while there was no staff on site we did meet a few that were extremely helpful. We’ll be back for sure

Summary: Stayed here when they first opened a couple years ago. Definitely is starting to show some wear. The pool is definitely not half as inviting as it once was… in need of a new liner and the lounge chairs have no cushions anymore so they are definitely not half as comfortable as they used to be. The fire pits have no kindling or fire starter and with no staff on site you need to figure that out on your own. The rooms are very clean, mattress is very comfy and bathroom was beautifully updated. Just need someone to do some outdoor updating and maintenance for sure!

Summary: Super cute place, loved it! It was like one of those places in a murder mystery, but nobody dies. Would stay here again, super comfortable.

Summary: An elegant old house tastefully redeveloped, with large, comfortable and stylish rooms. Great location close to breweries, wineries and hiking and not far from Charlottesville. So, mostly good but the administrative and customer-service side could be better. We weren't sent the code for the front door and another couple we met weren't sent the code for their room. I received the checkout instructions after having already left the property.

Summary: Nice place and should have been fun stay…except… heat did not work throughout the house and unit in our room was set on air-conditioning. Only “help” received was that there was a space heater in a closet. No excuse !! These “non staff” properties seldom work, in my opinion. No excuse for no heat !!

Summary: The property is a beautiful old home from 1800's. The grounds are well kept and the bathrooms are upgraded beautifully. There are fire pits for cooler weather. It was off season so the pool and hot tubs were not available. The game room is very fun and the parlor had some snacks and drinks.

Summary: We had a grand time staying at the Afton Inn! If I had any questions the host responded in less then 10 minutes! The Inn was immaculate, and the staff I talked with were extremely kind and helpful. This is Inn gets an A+. Many years ago I suffered a spinal issue that I never disclose to people. However, the first night we stayed the King Bed felt wonderful! Yet, in the morning my old wounds came back to haunt me. I texted the host, and I was moved immediately to another room that had a firmer mattress. That’s customer service!! If I had one thing to complain about would be all the delicious treats that I gave way to temptation! Thank you, and your kind staff that help maintain a beautiful Inn to stay!!
