Positive: Everything, location beautiful and food, drink and room was so spacious and amazing (had more storage space than my 3 bed house 😂). Will be staying again.

Negative: Door fob didnt work so buzzer went off a lot.

Summary: From the moment we arrived this place was a dream.

Positive: Amazing place! For me it’s super important when in UK accommodation is warm, dry and there is a hot water in shower. Especially after long day outside in the rain. The room is big with huge bed! The food in restaurant was very good too. Thank you very much!

Negative: One small thing was not perfect for me is a tall pillows, but it’s my personal preference

Positive: We arrived quite late but very quickly a very pleasant young man appeared and efficiently booked us in. Our room (4) was a very pleasing size, with a nice solid floor and all very clean and tidy. Particularly nice to see that Prime and Netflix were available on the TV, not used to that in other places we have stayed! The shower was nice and hot, strong flow, easy to control, and the towels a good big size which we don't usually find. The breakfast we had was a combination of the complimentary and the ordered - and we enjoyed our full Englishes. The cafetière I had was a great size, allowing 3 cups to be obtained. The young lady who served us could not have been more pleasant and helpful, and we observed that she worked the room alone and worked very hard. All in all, a gem of a place and we will definitely consider staying there again.

Negative: Just one comment about the mattress in that I would have liked it a bit more firm.

Summary: A beautiful location for a very enjoyable overnight stay, with gorgeous views out of our window.

Negative: It was a bit run down and utilitarian, which was a bit surprising for the price. Not quite enough staff to sort breakfast - those working were really helpful, but were struggling to cope with the number of guests. Breakfast was great when it came!

Positive: The food was really good and the portions were just right. We had the grill special and our steak was cooked very well.

Negative: The water in the shower kept changing from cold to extremely hot. I burned myself because of this. The beds were comfortable.

Positive: Wonderful location: the Afan Forest Park. Other locations such as Swansea and Cardiff, as well as the beauty of other parts of Wales, were also easily reachable. Decent food, although the waiting times were extremely variable. Very good, polite and pleasant staff. Good free parking (not to be taken for granted these days).

Negative: Location of some rooms, directly above the bar, was suboptimal for people who do not like noise. On most days, however, it was fine. Very uncomfortable beds (and pillows). Hence we hardly got any sleep.
