Positive: My stay at this hotel exceeded my expectations. The hosts were incredibly kind and warm-hearted people — very friendly and genuinely caring. The owner has a great sense of humor, and I really enjoyed talking with them. As for the room, it was cleaned every three days, and it was quiet, peaceful, and comfortable. The air conditioner worked perfectly. The location is convenient, and if you ride a scooter yourself, it’s absolutely ideal. I highly recommend staying here. The room was clean, with no mold, and had fresh, modern renovations. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel.

Positive: The place is a bit simpler than it looks on the pictures but everything was new and clean.

Negative: The bathroom and sink situation wasn’t great - a bit uncomfortable and too basic. But I think overall it’s great value for money.

The guesthouse is located in a quiet side street just outside the center of Ubud – peaceful, yet close enough to reach everything quickly. What truly made this place special was the host and his extended family. Everyone lives around a shared courtyard, and there’s a genuine sense of community. The host was often sitting outside on the terrace – sometimes we’d chat about local traditions, other times we’d just enjoy the quiet side by side. It never felt forced, just natural and relaxed. The rooms are simple but clean and have everything you need: a comfy bed, a desk, a small wardrobe, a bathroom with shower and toilet, and working air conditioning – all at a very fair price. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated that I never felt lonely. Whether heading out with my scooter or coming back in the evening, there was usually someone around to say hi or offer a helpful tip. Over the days, a small friendship grew – the host even offered to deliver a homemade pizza to my next place or stop by for a little private cooking session. Moments like these are what make a place truly memorable. I felt less like a guest and more like a friend.

Positive: Located in a quiet part of Ubud. But still just a walk away from many places. Merlin’s is like just 10 mins away. Excellent value for money, if you are looking for a clean place to just keep your bag and come to sleep after a full day of exploring Ubud and the surrounding areas then this is best place for it. Let’s not forget, the host is a chill dude. He runs a cute online bi pizza shop at the bottom of the guest house, if you order from his shop you can literally watch your pizza being made in front of you.

Positive: had an amazing stay at Aesthetic Guest House! This is a brand-new facility, and it truly lives up to its name—everything is beautifully designed, modern, and spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it the perfect place to relax after exploring Ubud. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast served each morning. Fresh, flavorful, and made with care, it was the perfect way to start the day. it's also very near to Ubud city center! 5 mins by scooter. A huge thank you to Ariani and her husband, Nyoman, for their warm hospitality. They went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Nyoman was especially helpful and kind—he even assisted me in changing the oil on my scooter at a fair local price, which I truly appreciated. If you're looking for a peaceful, clean, and welcoming place to stay in Ubud, Aesthetic Guest House is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!
