Bring the boat and the whole family to enjoy world class fishing within 1-hour of Orlando and Disney World. This serene home located in the heart of Lake-Walk-in-Water State Forest boasts an awesome fishing and boat dock directly on Lake Walk-in-Water. The 7,528-acres lake is known for trophy largemouth bass, bream (bluegill) and crappie (speckled perch). There is a county boat ramp minutes from the house. Tournament fishermen will love this location with space for up to three boat trailers.
This is a charming lake house with tile throughout the home. It sits directly on Lake Walk in Water. The covered dock is huge and has space to tie up three boats with a boat lift set up for a bass boat. The dock is in a very sheltered cove with protection from the usual northeast winds. The yard is fully fenced perfect for your young kids and pets.
The home is made of cedar, stone and stucco. It is very private and sheltered in a small enclave of only 12 homes in the middle of the state forest.
You will have access to the whole property except outbuildings, sheds and an outside closet.
We have a bojo bug light if you really want to catch fish. Turn the light on overnight. It attracts fish to the dock because it attracts bugs on the dock and on the water. Then you can fish all night. Be prepared for a big pile of bugs. When the May flies are out, the fishing is amazing. If you don’t appreciate the bugs, leave the light out overnight. This home has amazing lake views so you will see alligators, eagles and ospreys fishing. You can catch trophy fish right from the dock in the comfort of a sheltered and private setting. With a little effort fishing, you can rope in large mouth bass, blue gills, shell crackers, stump knockers, speckled perch (crappie), monster catfish, butter cats, and gar. We catch all of these easily from the dock! The trick is the Bojo bug light that feeds the fish nightly at our dock. We are the only one in the cove with this light so it brings the fish to their kitchen to eat nightly. They then hang out under the dock during the day. If you would like a boat for your stay, one can be delivered to the dock gassed up and ready to enjoy with advanced notice.
There is one camera mounted on the roof eaves that aims toward the driveway and front fence. The Wyse camera records audio and video and stores the recording for two weeks. The backyard, lakeside, inside, carport and dock do not have cameras.

Summary: We were looking for a house close to Walk n Water lake for a family reunion. This house was a perfect beautiful location and great fishing. Paula was a great host she even left fresh eggs and fruit from her farm. We walk out to the dock each morning for our coffee and a little fishing. The neighborhood is secluded and quiet. The drive to the house was very scenic reminding me “Old Florida “. We look forward to returning next year. I highly recommend!

Summary: This house was beautiful. Owner was very responsive and even allowed an earlier check in, any questions were quickly answered. Would recommend this place to any one. The dock was a nice place to hang out and enjoy the view.

Summary: From the moment we walked in the door we were awed by the view of the lake. The home itself is larger and more open than it seems in the pictures. We could see and feel the love and care that was put into this house for many, many years. It is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Well-stocked kitchen. Plenty of extra bedding/linens. Several smart TV’s and comfortable seating if you want a cozy evening in. Our family spent a lot of time on the dock as the view was great and we enjoy fishing. The host was gracious enough to set up some poles for us and even has a little live bait bubbler for use should you need it. ☺️ It was a lovely home away from home…very relaxing and quiet. The dog loved it too! We hope to return next time we travel to the area.
