Positive: This was literally an oasis in the desert. A perfect place to unwind after being on safari which can be a bit demanding with early starts. We didn't hire a car while in Maun so took advantage of the very generous continental breakfast every morning. An evening meal can also be provided (with notice)which we heard was absolutely delicious. Ruth and Tebla helped us get ourselves sorted with a regular taxi driver to get out and about during the day. Tebla also runs a safari company so arranged trips further afield. Most people only stay overnight or transit in Maun because they are on their way to somewhere else but if you have time to get to know this evolving frontier town staying at Acacia Cottage is a must.

Positive: Very nice and helpful staff. Good position, although a taxi is needed to get anywhere. Clean, big room, mosquito net, very pleasant garden and swimming pool

Positive: Comfortable, lovely, well equipped cottage. Excellent breakfast too! Pool there too. The Host, Ruth, was super helpful and friendly, quick to respond during the booking process as well as arranging transfers for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend staying at Acacia Cottage.
