Summary: The hey days of the Kenyan coast are long over. Hotel ruins are relics of those days. But the beaches are still beautiful and the quietness has one big advantage: the destination is cheap. The villa I got has 3 bedrooms and can sleep more than 6. It has a great pool and is one minute away from the beach. And - very important: it is within a secured compound. For all this I paid, what I usually spend for a small hotel room in Paris. What more to say?
