Summary: This home is a perfect base for enjoying Marseille, Cassis, Aix and les Calanques. The owners were very responsive and provided a very warm and inviting home. This is a great spot!

Summary: My family and I have just spent a very happy two weeks in this beautiful house. It is located in a perfect and peaceful setting in Marseilles. The garden is very quiet and private with a lovely pool. It catches the sun for most of the day. The property is 1/3 of a gorgeous house built about 1840 and modernised 12 years ago. The rooms are big and airy but the whole property benefits from effective central air-conditioning. There is off road parking behind secure electric gates. The hosts were kind and friendly. They met us at the property but afterwards only dropped by quickly to maintain the pool. They responded very quickly to messages. We also bumped into the neighbours a couple of times and they were also very welcoming. The whole place just had a great atmosphere. Once you step out of the property you are in the middle of the neighbourhood of Mazargues. Within 2 minutes walk there are 4 bakeries for fresh bread and croissants, several restaurants and 2 supermarkets. You are 20 minutes drive from Cassis and an hour from Aix en Provence. We hired a boat on 2 days and visited the Calanques which were busy but great for swimming and snorkelling. In the opposite direction you are 30 minutes bike ride from central Marseilles. You can also drive or catch a bus. There is a weekly market in the near-by Prado district which had a good selection of food and drink Thank you Aymeric et Virginie
