Lost River Cabin is a rustic log cabin located in the beautiful and picturesque Methow Valley in north central Washington State. The cabin is minutes from the North Cascades National Park and Pasayten Wilderness. The cabin is situated on an acre and issurrounded by tall pines - privacy plus! Lost River cabin is situated 20 miles west of the town of Winthrop.
The cabin has two bedrooms (queen/full), a spacious loft with deck, a full kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room.
The cabin is completely outfitted for your comfort. Just bring your personal belongings and food and you're set for a great get away.

Summary: This is not exactly a log cabin in the woods - it is an old log cabin with trees. The view from the front porch is of a grass airstrip for small planes, yes we saw a plane land while we relaxing out there. The neighbors are close so that we looked out the bedroom window at their port a potty, and the owners caution to drive slow for the safety of children and respect for the other residents. The neighbor did come over and apologize for the noise as she was tearing down a garden shed while we were there. A black dog (at least it wasn't a bear!) was running loose at night which really put a damper on sitting outside. The stairs going upstairs are so narrow and without a handrail. Decided to stay in the first floor bedroom. Which was a double bed. Just not what we had expected. Would not recommend this property unless there is full disclosure of all the limitations.

Summary: Very convenient location near Mazama (~15 min drive). Super cozy cabin. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin was quiet and clean. Would stay here again.
