Also the way it is managed and built truly makes you feel at home away from home. Robert, is an amazing host and we thank him a lot for making us feel so at ease during our stay.

Positive: From the moment we arrived Robert, the owner, could not have been more hospitable. He welcomed us into his beautiful house and garden and we felt truly at home.. Our bedroom was large and comfortable. Our days started with a delicious breakfast, then time by the swimming pool, exploring the pretty village and rounded off with supper served either on the terrace or in the sociable atmosphere of the dining room. We hope to return to this idyllic spot in the Montesinho national park - a very convenient 4 hour drive from the ferry at Santander.

Positive: Robert is an absolute gentleman and a pleasure to chat to (though not obtrusive). The property cooked us a lovely meal for dinner. The pool is a good size, lovely temperature with great views. The neighbourhood was very quiet, it was very peaceful. We wished we had stayed there longer and would definitely return if in the area....

Negative: The access road to the property is very narrow.... more of a warning if you are in a large SUV....

Positive: This venue is exceptional for its location and owner Robert. The property and home cooked food were above expectation. On arrival our dog Freya was welcomed warmly and made to feel comfortable. The secure garage was an additional benefit but the location was totally relaxed and safe. This is a hidden gem very close to the Portuguese, Spanish border and we will definitely visit again....!!!! Fully recommended....
