Six bedrooms arranged over three floors; four with double beds, one with twin single beds and one with single bed with additional single underneath. Each bedroom has wardrobe and storage facilities, bedside reading lamps and a chair. There is a travel cot also. All bedding is supplied.

Summary: Patrick's house was the perfect meeting place for our international friends reunion. We loved the location of the house and how close it is to town. The minute you enter the home you are immersed into the Portuguese culture. The house was well stocked with anything you would need. The beds comfortable, many fabulous gathering places throughout the property. We loved the fruit trees and the swimming pool. This is now our go to house and hope to be back next year!

Summary: A lovely big property. Shared between 2 families. My family stayed on the lower floor that has its own entrance. Very nice big pool. We loved the pool table and table tennis. We will definitely stay again!

Summary: The weather was perfect. Everyone loved the pool. Lots of room for outside dinners. Very easy to get to grocery stores. Cost of food is very reasonable. Lots of stairs(couple of us in our late 70s) Book selection to read outstanding for those lazy days. My only complaint was that there are no screens on the windows and the bugs loved me and my grandchildren. We had a great time and Portugal is a beautiful country.

Summary: This holiday of a couple of groups of friends with kids was a long time in the planning and Patrick couldn’t have been more helpful from start to finish. The place was perfect for us and so well equipped we didn’t need anything. Cupboards full of towels and plentiful crockery etc made things so easy, as did use of the washing machine, dishwasher and the extra fridge downstairs near the pool. Couldn’t recommend this place enough and would love to return as a group in the future- the pool was a winner, especially with the teenagers, and the river beach nearby was a welcome distraction. Fantastic place, thank you!

Summary: The house was great for a large group of us, lovely pool and laid back feel to the place, lots of traditional features, plenty of outdoor space, huge library of books to read. Nice bar by the river in the village and a great base to explore the river beaches in the area and nearby schist villages. Talasnal was particularly beautiful and there is a spectacular hike up to it from Lousã castle.

Summary: What a lovely house I and the Family had a super week.The swimming pool and barbecue area are brill, and with it being so warm the courtyard was very welcoming.If I was nit picking the property is a little tired in some areas but I believe for what I paid for 11 of us it was good value.Can I always say the village is lovely with 3 bars and the beach area and fresh bread ever morning,the villagers were so friendly we were sad to leave.David Nevins

Summary: This is a very nice typical house with a lot of potential. Certainly, it needed a fresh vision to bring in a younger crowd. The basement floor is wet. It should be more clean when arrive (progress target) but it's not catastroph. You have all the necessary dishes. For a group, with nice weather (we didn't really have it) it's very good, we were 13 and it was perfect. The swimming-pool, barbecue, are excellent and you have a big patio for the dinners, you can also play ping-pong (the rackets are ooo). If you decide to visit Portugal from Porto to Lisbon, it's a good place. You can go to Lousa to shop. In fact, it's 3.5 stars and could be easily 5 stars. Thank you to Patrick and Katrina.

Summary: This was our second visit to the property in 2 years and we are already planning our third!. The house is fantastic for an extended family (we were a party of 9 ranging from 10yrs to 74yrs), there is plenty of room, the house is well maintained and has all the facilities you need for a relaxing family holiday (there are bikes for everyone if you feel like being a little more active!) We love the outdoor space, the pool and BBQ area are very well maintained and are very private. We spent most of our time around the local area, our favourite spots were the river and Bar da Bogueira (5 minute walk away) where you can get food and drink, its a great spot for kids and is safe to jump in and swim. The local café in the village is very welcoming for coffee or an evening drink, it was good to see a few familiar faces who recognised us from our previous stay and made us all very welcome. The owners and caretakers are very approachable and friendly and did everything to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Thank you Patrick and family
