Positive: · We had an own small bungalow, with a very traditional feeling and the bathroom is awesome with pebbles on the ground. We could not have dinner there because we forgot to inform the host in advance but we were told the food was really good. The host was extremely nice and organized a great safari tour for us, in which we were not stuck with 20 other jeeps. For the price, definitely a great experience !

Positive: Together with a friend, we stayed a night at the beautiful private organic house with dimuthu and his Family. We had a warm welcome when we arrived. The family cooked a typical Sri Lankan diner for us (Kottu, fried Rice, chicken, sambal mushrooms and curry) and it was delicious. We were eating together at a big table with the other guests and dimuthu was entertaining us with many stories of Sri Lanka. After dinner he made us a sweet dessert. The location arranged a safari for us. At 5.30 next morning someone came with a jeep to bring us to the National park in Udawalawa. The safari and the stay were amazing. dimuthu and his family are lovely and they did everything to make it an unforgettable stay. We would definitely go there again!

Positive: This property is amazing value for money. Our host provided us with a great breakfast and dinner. She organised a safari for us and was most understanding when I needed to change the length of our safari due to an injury. She recommended the baby elephant orphanage which was also fantastic.

Positive: - extremely friendly hosts - spacious rooms with strong AC (definitely needed in this area) - good shower - great dinner and breakfast - amazing Safari driver with knowledge + binoculars - close to the Udawalawa NP We loved it and would love to come back!!

Positive: abc hotel was nice and cozy place to stay in Udawalawe. Location is good, near of national park and baby elephants home. There are different safari options available. It was worth it to see many different animals. Breakfast and dinner was also really good.

Positive: Cute and comfortable bungalows set in a lush property. dimuthu is the best: kind, knowledgeable, and well-connected. Not only did he arrange a safari (we saw a tusker!) but he also organised all of our transport to and from udawalawa, and even arranged a friend to drive us from Galle to the Colombo airport. Highly recommend the home cooked dinner and breakfast as well. We are so appreciative of all of max’s help, and the comfortable accommodation in udawalawa.

Positive: Absolute little hidden gem and treat at the same time right in the middle of Udawalawa. Our stay at abc hotels was super chill and relaxed. He and his mom cooked the best sri lankan food for us, breakfast and dinner were delicious! We stayed in a little cottage which was super cute with comfortable beds and great bathroom. Super clean!!!! He organised for us full day safari for great price with the best driver who was so knowledgeable and also a private transfers from Ella to Udawalawe and then back to Colombo airport. The best people ever! I always try to support little businesses like abc hotel and I'm really happy that we could stay here! Definitely recommend!!! Thank you for the hospitality and kindness!!

Positive: Liked · This is a great place to stay if you are looking to do a safari in Udawalawe and/or vist the Elephant orphanage (I’d recommend doing both) dimuthu is really knowledgeable and helpful and he organised a fantastic Safari for us (6 hours in the Park including breakfast) for a great price. This safari was one of our highlights of our two weeks in Sri Lanka. We ate both breakfast and evening meals and the food was delicious and plentiful. There are a few rooms here so there is a chance to meet others. It rained quite a bit while we were there but there are adequate communal under cover areas.
