Positive: Being an architect, its one of a kind experience you cant find it else where. Definitely worth living in an art piece. The workmanship is greatly executed.

Negative: The pantry slightly being small on practicality. The bathtub water takes a little longer to heat and filled.

Negative: it is far too big. the rooms are badly put together. the doors open against the concrete staircase. the staircase is very dangerous and just not to go up. i banged my head against the end of the stairs and almost fell. the bathroom is unpractical, the nad is very bad, there is no shower. the rooms have no daylight and are far too dark, the hall is freezing cold and the toilet is anything but cosy or comfortable

Negative: Not at all functional: the bedrooms have almost no natural light, no view and poor lighting for the night, the stairs to the bathroom are very steep and the steps have very little depth, ending being dangerous; the sitting area has only 3 very uncomfortable chairs and no heating; the toilet has no mirror, no hot water and the sink leaks; the bathroom, high up 2 floors, has 1 of the sinks with no hot water, no way to take a shower, because the shower tube is too short and a cool but very uncomfortable bath tub, but finally up there there’s a view; no cooking or dining facilities, so sink to fill up the cuttle, not a knife, not even a plate each….; the doors are so annoying, hard to close, that slam into someone on the other side, that give no privacy; the garden out of the glass walls is the only view and it’s certainly not up to the Japanese standard, it’s miserable…. And I could go on

Summary: It could have been nice but the lack of functionality and the to many discomforts made it a stay that I wouldn’t recomme

Positive: Beautiful house that is really thoughtfully designed. A real find for architecture lovers. Great location for Okayama and loved the map with all the recommendations - Slowcave winebar is a must. Lovely cotton pyjamas, towels and bedding, and a lovely bath.

Negative: The front door didn't seem overly secure and the a/c wasn't very functional in our bedroom so it got quite warm overnight.

Positive: Almost everything. Living in a piece of art.

Negative: We got locked out due to some mistake by the hotel, setting the password to the keylock to reset after the first day, and we had to scramble to look around for someone to help get in contact with the hotel staff. Thankfully the nice lady from the restaurant Antenna went above and beyond to help us.

Summary: Living in a piece of art with a bit of a hiccup.
