Positive: A lovely location and a well appointed apartment. Great for relaxing, walking locally and exploring across the Dales. As per other's comments, the local farmshop is good for breakfast/lunch/afternoon pick-up. Kirkby Malham is the nearest place for evening eating. For both, check on days closed though. Host responded promptly to queries.

Negative: Downstairs stays cold - but electric radiators are provided. (And in a heatwave, that's probably a good area to stay cooler in...) The indicator light for the oven is broken so you have to guess if it's reached the set temperature.

Positive: The location was beautiful, peaceful until boys booked the day before we were due to leave. They were very noisy but courteous

Negative: No reception and internet connection. The property was on 2 levels although advertised as an apartment. This proved inconvenient for my friend who is disabled but we did manage. It could do with a toilet on the main floor

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in a very comfortable property.

Positive: Quirky with lots of character as it’s a converted old mill, we enjoyed morning coffee sitting in the window watching the river and birds at the feeder. Nice decor and well equipped with what you need. Lovely gardens in beautiful setting. Pennine Way is literally on the doorstep.

Positive: Location was lovely. Property self catering so no breakfast but Town End farm tea room and shop fantastic and good for morning coffee. The Victoria pub in Kirkby Malham had good food and a nice atmosphere. We also liked the big TV on which we watched Wimbledon in the evening.

Negative: The foam pillows were very hard and the kitchen didn't have a cafetière. Also the manuals for the cooker etc have disappeared but we googled it. Smallish niggles. The decor was rather overwhelming grey/griege; perhaps when redecorating white walls or the odd colour would be more attractive as the accommodation is a bit dark.

Summary: Comfortable accommodation in an attractive village; good place to come back to after walking all day

Positive: Great remote location. There was a pricey hut upmarket farm shop in villiage.. Flat was very modern and clean and tidy

Negative: It was pretty cold when we got in, took a while to get the place warmed up in the bedrooms.
