Summary: Such a fantastic property!!! The photos really don't do it justice. We were a group of 8 adults and 6 children who stayed for a week in August. Large, clean rooms all with a bathroom and plenty of space. The outdoor seating area is perfect and we cooked on the bbq several nights. The pool is large and provided lots of entertainment for kids and adults alike. The beach is lovely and really only 5 mins away. Swrgio and Amelia very relaxed and helpful. Would love to visit again!

Summary: We were an extended family of 6 adults and 7 children, and I especially liked the house because we all had private rooms but plenty of space for coming together, also. All rooms were very clean upon our arrival and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking. The pool was big enough for several volleyball games and it was situated close to the outdoor sitting area, which is nice for keeping an eye on the kids. The walk to the beach was only 5-10 minutes and there were plenty of waves for action but also a small lake for more tranquil swimming. The beach was family friendly, not a lot of bars and wild parties. The owners were very friendly and helpful during our stay. They are also very accessible as they live in an apartment at the top of the house. We especially enjoyed the two lovely meals that we prepared with Amelia in order to learn traditional Sardinian cooking.

Summary: The villa is situated in a sandy and tranquil conservation area shaded by conifers and shrubs. There are houses scattered throughout the plantation, but many appeared to be holiday homes and in June were unoccupied. The villa is about 600 metres from the sea front along a well maintained unmade road. There are no street lights, but the stars provided sufficient light when we walked back late at night. The rooms are not enormous, but perfectly clean and certainly adequate for a couple of weeks. The kitchen is very well equipped and is supplemented by an outdoor barbeque which we used several times. There is an undercover outdoor table which easily accommodated our group of 12 adults and also an indoor table, which because of the fabulous weather, we never used during our stay. Although some of the group wandered down the track for an early morning swim on the long, sandy [and child friendly] beach, most preferred the pool which Sergio maintained fastidiously. The owners live in part of the first floor but kept very much to themselves except when we needed to ask for advice or have them resolve minor problems. I had found the shower head in my bathroom to be "a bit wobbly" so had tied it in place with string [once a Boy Scout] The next day Sergio had spotted this and came to fit a replacement ! The owners were also extremely helpful in directing us to places of interest and spoke colloquial English. The surrounding area is very much an Italian family resort and we hardly heard an English voice during the two weeks. The locals however, were very friendly and found our Italian very entertaining ! There are several surprisingly cheap restaurants within a ten minute stroll and nearby Valledoria has several supermarkets and two wonderful gelaterias. We very much enjoyed a canoe trip down the nearby Coghinas river with nightingales singing from almost every bush. The nearby town of Castelsardo is well worth a visit as are the incredible rock formations in the Valle della Luna near Aggius. The views from Capo Caccia are also very impressive, as is the Capo Testa headland near Santa Teresa. Whilst you could stay around the villa area, I'd consider a car to be essential if you want to see something of the surrounding countryside. Don't expect to be able to travel any great distance though, because whilst the road surfaces are good, the roads twist and turn through the hills. If you can average 30mph you're probably driving too fast

Summary: We were 15 people (8 adults, 5 teenagers and 2 kids) who stayed with Sergio and Amelia for 14 days. The house was perfect for us since there was room enough both inside and outside for us to be without ever feeling overcrowded. The place itself was quiet and nice and for us having kids it was perfect. The pool was a decent size and at one point I believe we were 10-12 persons in it at once playing volleyball... The beach was so close that going to and from during the day was no problem. I guess it took us no more than 5-10 minutes from we left the house till we were set up by the sea. Our kids especially loved the place where the lake runs out into the sea. Great many things to do there! We didn't have many or big problems other than that the feuse went a couple of times. In the end Sergio figured it out and everything was fine. On two occasions we had Sergio and Amelia cook for us and that was a nice and tasty experience which we highly recommend. Other than that we both cooked ourselves and ate out. Several nice restaurants in walking distance from the house. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and we have no problem recommending Amelias guesthouse to others. Thank you again, Sergio and Amelia (and Francesco) for a wonderful holiday!
