Positive: New construction; modern appliances; very spacious for all 6 of us (4 grandsons & us; kitchen/living room area is more spacious than you’d think from the pictures); a/c worked very well; comfortable beds; 2 full baths with an extra shower in the main bedroom bath; plenty of these supplies for the week: dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, hand soap for kitchen & both baths, toilet tissue & paper towels; lots of ice; 4 nice TVs; w/d new & worked great; great location for us — 10 minute drive to the heart of New Orleans just over the nearby bridge; just a few miles from several Walmart grocery stores & a Costco. Carritha, our contact, was fantastic! Exceptionally responsive and fully & immediately addressed some minor issues we had. We’ve had many good folks who’ve been terrific at responding during our various trips, but Carritha was just about the best! Some reviewers have noted a poor or ‘sketchy’ neighborhood. We had absolutely no issues and found the people we met to be polite & friendly. I’m a runner, and during my 3 runs all around the area I found a quiet set of streets with friendly folks. No, it’s not a ritzy neighborhood, but we had absolutely no concerns; our 4 grandsons range in age from 7 to 14. We had hoped to use the nearby ferry (Algiers Point ferry terminal <1 mile away) to the heart of New Orleans, but never got the chance for various reasons. But it should a great option for lots of folks, and is very reasonably priced. The coffee maker is a single-cup keurig, with plenty of dark roast pods supplied. Note that many of the pictures posted are actually of the (very similar) 2nd floor unit, not the 1st floor unit you’ll be in (the owners have been trying to get the updated pictures posted). Do not let this bother you, as the 1st floor unit is as good or better than the pictures show. Just wanted you to be aware.

Negative: All minor issues: a few of the bath faucets need some attention (they all work); some of the amenities need to be increased, such as # of dinner plates, hand towels & dish towels (my guess is some of these may be corrected by now). There are some cracking/creaking noises from the folks walking in the unit above, but it’s not a big deal. It’s just normal walking; my guess is the construction between the floors could have been a bit better/tighter, which would have reduced this effect.

Summary: Great family condo, great location (assuming you don’t want to be right in downtown); great responsiveness from Carritha

Positive: Peaceful neighborhood. Found out last day there was a ferry to down town so we did not have to drive if we did not want. Pass was 3 per person per day and it did ferry street car and bus. The bridge view was breathtaking.

Negative: Not knowing there was a ferry in the beginning. The listing said 1325 when the rental was 1327. Couch needs cleaned multiple stains from previous renters had to put sheet on it to sit on it.

Summary: Better when we learned the area amenities.
