Summary: Our family of 13 (ages 12-75) thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this beautiful property! The host Sammy was very communicative and had the house looking like a movie scene when we arrived. The interior is beautifully decorated, and there was even a Christmas tree! The house has good airflow throughout, and there are ceiling and stationary fans to assist when needed. The kitchen is not only gorgeous but very well stocked, and the fresh fruit (and juicer!) were a good touch. The pool and hot tub were welcome amenities, and there were pool supplies and towels provided. The grounds were fun to explore, and my kids enjoyed the horses and friendly cats. We found beautiful black sand beaches not far away but otherwise trips to the National Park, Hilo, Mauna Loa and Kona are a little bit of a drive away. The nearby town of Pahoa has what you need for groceries, restaurants and great food trucks. Would come here again and again!

Summary: The VRBO pictures of the property were beautiful…but seeing the real thing in person was stunning!! Sammy was an amazing host and we loved our stay. It was perfect for my daughter’s wedding reception.

Summary: Sammy was the most amazing host for our group of 18 (high school volleyball team)! We have stayed at a lot of team houses and this might be our favorite. The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked to cook meals for our group size. The views and the pool were so relaxing! The property was gorgeous! Everything was so comfy and perfect. Sammy setup yoga for our team upon arrival which was phenomenal. And the last day, our plans had to change and he let us extend our check out time which was a huge help to the group. Thank you so much for an amazing time!!!

Summary: Staying at Sammy’s home was a life-changing experience. The entire property is spectacular; phenomenal views, the enchanting sounds of the coqui frogs and passing rain, and surrounded by nature’s beauty. The house is well stocked and beautifully renovated with moments around every corner to be appreciated. Watching the sunset from the pool and hot tub was the perfect way to end a long day of adventures. Far better than staying in a hotel. Best Vrbo rental and host…we will return for sure!
