The Cottage: Lakeside cottage is a lovely cottage just outside the village of Letterfrack.
Letterfrack is a busy village that is the heart of a busy community, there is always a lot going on, and there are some great pubs and restaurants – definitely try the amazing Chowder in Veldons Seafarer Bar. The Connemara National Park is right in the village where you can ramble, or hike up the more challenging Diamond Mountain trails or for the younger ones, enjoy the playground. The village also has a very well stocked supermarket. There are lots of other interesting places nearby, with Kylemore Abbey and its delightful walled garden only a few minutes drive. There are numerous beaches only a short drive away and you are right on the Wild Atlantic Way if you wish to explore its route.
Inside: The house is down a short drive. Off the main hall, you will enter into a large open plan sitting dining room that wraps around to the kitchen. You will also find a conservatory off the sitting room where you can enjoy or a glass of wine in the evening or a morning coffee. The perfect spot to admire the stunning views of Diamond Hill and Surrounding Area! In the sitting area you will find a stove, TV and DVD player. The kitchen has everything you can need, including washer/dryer & dishwasher, with a backdoor out to a patio area. Down the hallway you will find a double room with ensuite bathroom, and a second room with a double and single bed. There is also a further bathroom with shower in the bath.

Summary: A wonderfully equipped cottage in the most stunning of locations, overlooking Diamond Hill. The cottage had everything we could need, in addition to some very thoughtful little touches. And to top it all off, it welcomes our four-legged friends. Will definitely book again next time I’m visiting. Thank you for the hospitality.

Summary: We had a lovely stay at this cottage/bungalow.It's in a quiet spot ,a bit of the main road so you won't wake up by traffic. There is a lovely view from the living room and the kitchen.It's a great spot from to explore the area.Kylemore very near.And the national park. The house itself was clean and comfortable and fully equipped kitchen. The host had even milk bread and butter tea etc in the kitchen.Very kind. I would love to stay here again in the future.

Summary: Lake View Cottage is an excellent base to explore the Connemara region. The view from the kitchen is great, as well as that from the livingroom. Letterfrack is close by, which is very convenient as it has some nuce pubs/restaurans and shops for doing the basic shopping. To leave the drive-way is a bit of a gamble, as the entrance is hidden in the bend of the road, maybe a mirror can be placed?
