Uninterrupted sea views. This spacious detached holiday cottage is situated in one of the most scenic areas of Southern Argyll by the famous ’Bridge over the Atlantic’. Boasting superb uninterrupted sea views and access to the beach across a small field to the rear of the property, it is tastefully furnished, and offers excellent holiday accommodation for families and larger parties. The picturesque conservation village of Ellenabeich with its small ferry to the slate island of Easdale is just a short drive. Here visitors can learn about the history of the area at the museum. The ferry to Luing is a similar distance. Oban is just 12 miles, offering many shops and restaurants. It also houses a distillery with regular tours and tasting sessions of the fine malts. Other islands are easily accessible from Oban, with regular ferry trips available.
Golfing, fishing, sea trips, walking and cycling are all available locally, with many historical attractions including McCaigs Tower and the 13th century Dunstaffnage Castle at Dunbeg worth a visit. Shops and pubs 1 mile.

Summary: Would highly recommend as it was the perfect retreat and well presented house. Comfortable and clean throughout and delightful views with stunning sunsets. A cheery spot to return home to after exploring all the many beautiful places Seil and outlying islands present. Would love to return. Many thanks to the owners for a memorable relaxing stay!

Summary: Wonderful property in a fabulous location. We loved watching the sunsets from the sun room and were lucky to have some great weather. The property is clearly meant for large groups and there is more than enough room for all (although the bedrooms might be a little cramped). It was spotless when we arrived and toasty warm. Location was superb for access to Oban too. There is an open fire but the house was so warm we didn’t light it once despite being there at the end of September. I have rated a 5 as value for money but this is because there were only two of us (and a dog). We weren’t offered any low occupancy discount despite the fact that we didn’t use three of the four bedrooms. Having said that, a large group of 12 guests would find it very reasonably priced and, in fairness to the owners, we were aware of the cost when we booked! Summary: The cottage was warm and welcoming and the owners were helpful and friendly. The shop and the nearest pub were within walking distance and the location was good for getting to areas between Oban and Inveraray. There are plenty of walks on Seil and the surrounding areas. A trip to Easdale is well worth it. It is a pity that the residents of Luing did not want people to come to their island but we could understand why (Covid 19).
