Or if you have the children with you, they’ll love seeing the animals at the rural Rare Breeds Centre (5 miles) and Port Lympe Safari Park (10 miles).

After dinner, make your way to the snug in the roundel to watch a movie, or head back to the lounge area to enjoy a glass of wine by the wood burner. Head up to the first floor and you’ll find four beautifully styled bedrooms – a master king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a king-size, a double and a twin. Completing the layout, you’ll find a smart family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Open up the French doors from the breakfast room and step out onto the pretty patio area with views of the neighbouring farmland.
