Positive: The location was great, a lovely part of the world. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed to cook and prepare meals. Heating was adequate.

Negative: If you are averse to stairs then they may be a challenge!! Whilst the wifi was functional through the cottage it was strongest in the living room, elsewhere it was weak. The damp / cold in the kitchen was a challenge. The shower could do with an upgrade plus an increase in the water pressure.

Summary: The cottage provided everything we needed for our stay. The location and countryside was stunning.

Positive: Location is excellent to watch the activity on the canal, particularly when narrow boats pass by. We viewed from the patio just outside the cottage, come late afternoon/ evening sitting in the sunshine in the wicker chairs provided was simply superb. Local food options are 2 good quality pubs & 1 Indian restaurant. Photo shows view from patio Quiet location, good all weather walking paths from the cottage. Inside, the furnishings are comfy and tastefully done, and a fire in the grate ready for chilly evenings.

Negative: The front and back door keys are very stiff to operate, I couldn't open the doors on some occasions, it seem to happen randomly. Stairs became tiring after 5 days - the main double bedroom is on the 4th floor from the basement kitchen!

Positive: Location was perfect, lots of dog walks straight from the door to canal and woods behind. Plenty of choice for pubs and restaurants including an Indian takeaway all within very short walking distance. Thank you had a great time.

Negative: Would have liked a dishwasher. Lots of time spent washing up cups.
