Positive: The cottage was perfect and the location and scenery were something from a fairy tale. In the shadow of Croagh Pádraig and overlooking the water it was breathtaking.

Positive: We had a lovely stay in James cottage which was not only very well equipped, clean, spacious but also very conveniently located with only a stones throw away from the gorgeous waters and 10 minute drive from Westport! We were greeted with the yummiest soda bread, Irish butter and milk which was greatly appreciated! We would love to visit again, thank you so much!

Positive: A traditional cottage, with wonderful views over Clew Bay, beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished to provide a large modern warm open plan space for all our family to enjoy. The bathrooms were very modern with lots of fresh towels.The spacious, light and bright bedrooms had crisp clean sheets, great beds with lots of pillows and clothes space. The kitchen was very well equipped with every utensil and modern cooking facility to hand and cleaning products. Great utility room. Most of all, after a day long journey we loved the welcoming soda bread, butter and jam with a pot of tea . Our host was lovely and welcoming, telling us the origin story of the cottage and its artworks and of course the donkeys. We even had our own personal sheep. The cottage was rural but only a few minutes drive from Westport. The location was perfect for climbing Croagh Patrick, cycling the greenway, days out in Louisburgh, Leenann, Kylemore and Acail island.

Negative: Our one week stay in the cottage was far too short.

Summary: Our cottage was beyond our expectations, merging modern and traditional rural Ireland so perfectly. Thankyou.

Positive: The view of the ocean and mountain out back were stunning. The house was quiet, very well decorated with comfortable beds and excellent shower. Having milk , bread and butter upon arrival was a lovely touch.

Negative: Coming from the USA we found it difficult to figure out how to use the stove.

Summary: Family home restored with modern conveniences. Stunning views.
