Positive: Absolutely stunning little cottage. So clean and cosey. Had all we needed with the added touch of tea, coffee and milk to give us a great start to our next day. I visit Swindon regular and would definitely book here again.

Positive: It was perfect. If it was in the summer the outside space would have been amazing to sit out in. The rooms were warm and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need to cook a full meal. Beds were amazing.

Positive: It was comfortable and clean. Good sized rooms and convenient for our needs visiting relatives.

Negative: Some more hanging space and some way of making coffee would be good though in fact we managed OK.

Summary: A pleasant place to stay in an attractive street of the city. I would recommend it very strongly.

Positive: The private gravelled garden was excellent for the dog. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The layout was good with the lounge/diner/kitchen upstairs and the bedrooms/bathroom downstairs.

Negative: There was no clothes hanging rail in one of the bedrooms. There was a strange smell coming from the bathroom and the bathroom door didn't open/shut easily so we had to leave it semi-closed when we were in there. However, the shower was very good. There was no double glazing and the property is right next to a main road so I found it hard to sleep. Other people might be more used to traffic noise. There were a few things missing from the kitchen which would have been useful e.g. scissors, teapot/coffee pot, measuring jug, washing-up bowl.

Positive: We stayed at The Stables as a stopover on our way to Wales and enjoyed our night in the old town. Host was excellent, great communication and property more than met our needs. Excellent location for pubs and food.
