Summary: We stayed here for a week, there are so many places close by. Fort William, Oban, Ardnamurchan, Ben Nevis, Glenfinnan and Glencoe. The cottage is well equipped, the bed is really comfy. The dog loved the enclosed garden (there is a small stream at the bottom) and we loved watching the birds on the feeders from the kitchen.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay in Old Mill Cottage, especially the fact that it is pet friendly and we could bring our dog who loved all the walking and exploring the garden. The cottage is well kitted out and you need for nothing in terms of equipment and facilities. It isn't within walking distance of any shops or restaurants so we found it best to do a big grocery shop at the start of our stay. There are fantastic walking and cycling routes nearby and lots of more adventurous routes just a short car ride away. The owners have a guest folder with extensive information about the surrounding area and there are loads of guidebooks and maps to borrow in the cottage. Summary: Lovely old cottage and enclosed garden for dogs..Heaters in all rooms and log burner and open fire in living room. Great WiFi connection means you can plug firestick/ dongle into TV as there is no freeview/sky television. Plenty books and DVD' s as well. Excellent value for money and plenty information and nice bottle of wine waiting for you. I would definitely go back and take my bike as the cycle path into Oban is right next to you. Summary: Wonderful cottage and ideal base to explore the area. The cottage is even prettier in real life than the photos & the garden is truly gorgeous with amazing views. The only reason we didn’t give all 10s is that it is on the main road going through the village so there is some traffic noise but this is a quiet area so it wasn’t much of an issue. Loved this cottage and would definitely go back & recommend to others. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: What a super place. The scenery is spectacular with so many fantastic walks we were spoilt for choice. The cottage was clean and very cosy with a wonderful, safe garden for our dog. The pictures online don't do the cottage justice, it was much larger than expected. Taking our dog for a long walk on a cold but beautifully sunny day in Cuil Bay was food for the soul. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The information pack was detailed and very helpful. The wine on arrival was a nice touch. Will definitely be back! Summary: We love Old Mill Cottage. It is so cosy and comfortable, beautifully decorated and everything you could possibly need is provided for. The beds are very comfortable and warm. The bathroom is well appointed, nice shower and the sink unit very attractive. The kitchen dining room is spacious for 2 or 3 people and very well provisioned in terms of equipment for cooking good meals for your family. The living room is lovely to relax in and there is a drawer full of boards games, perfect for a rainy afternoon! There are log burners in the kitchen and living room as well as oil heaters and radiators to keep you very warm and cosy! We were able to dry our waterproofs easily in the kitchen with the dehumidifier running. Unfortunately we needed to do this most days as the weather wasn’t very kind, but that’s Scotland for you! Even if it’s pouring with rain the scenery is incredible and you can’t let the wet stop you from getting out and enjoying it! The garden is lovely, the roses were still blooming and persicaria still providing colour. There are lots of seats and benches in the garden so if the weather is kind I’d imagine eating, reading or just watching the birds out there would be glorious! It is very dog friendly too, our Jack Russell is very at home in the cottage. The gate at the front door a very wise addition! Location wise Old Mill couldn’t be better. Ballachulish has a very good Co-op to get provisions, or Fort William is only 30 mins away if you did want a little more choice. There’s even a M&S food hall.. snazzy! There are countless walks to enjoy from your doorstep, Cuil Bay and Duror Bothy to name a couple. Tom and Sally provide a very thorough guide to the local area in their visitor folder and detail lots of walks and Munros to explore. This area of the Highlands is breathtaking and the cottage is perfectly situated for visitors to enjoy it. A trip over the Corran ferry to drive around the opposite side of Loch Linnhe is well worth doing. Some amazing views and wildlife spotting opportunities! We really enjoy staying at Old Mill and are already planning our next holiday!! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
