The holiday apartments are situated on a most romantic and unique sandy beach near London. They have been family managed by the owners for twenty years. Part of a 250 year old Georgian Mansion the apartments are comfortably furnished including books, videos and games. Every room has a beautiful view either out to sea and the chalk cliffs or towards the Victorian garden at the back of the house. There is an ever changing scene sea scape with the tides, fascinating sea birds, ships to watch either from the windows or the beach directly in front of the property. You have opportunities to play golf straight behind the house, go swimming, go to the children's play area or play tennis. A good idea is to bring your own bicycles with you. The bicycle paths around this area and some along the beach are breath-taking. All apartments are child friendly and non-smoking areas.

Summary: Was clean and tidy, communication was good and no problems. Flat felt chilly and was dated but in keeping with the building so, quaint would probably be a better description. Overall, the stay was as pleasant, comfertable and a good base for getting around.

Summary: Three of us stayed for three nights while visiting our son in Margate. The property is charming and has lovely sea views. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms adequate. It was rather cold and windy and the apartment is a little cold because of the age of the building. The kitchen was satisfactory for making breakfast but I would not plan to prepare all daily meals there. Restaurants are convenient but you need a car and parking can be difficult in any town. I’d like to return in the summer to be able to enjoy the beach.

Summary: This is a historic house with lots of character and a castle next door. The home is as pictured, right on the ocean. Our host Simone was wonderful. Beach chairs, mats and beach toys are provided along with a large (large for a rental) library. The only aspect I would change (but is not a complaint) is we are not used to duvets and covers and would have preferred a top sheet (made it a little hard to sleep), and the furnishings were worn but quite serviceable and gave the place a cottage-y feel. The rental had everything we needed with adequate kitchen cooking and eating utensils, a washing machine, living room overlooking the ocean. There are many beaches in the area, this one is exceedingly quiet and non-crowded compared to others nearby. The house sits on the 30 mile coastal (bike - walk) Thanet Trail, a wonderful resource. We walked to Margate and back one day for ice cream (6 miles total). The scenery and ocean view are very worth the walk. There is a pub just up the hill from the rental (2 minute walk) also with great sea views, friendly staff and good selection of food and drink. Very nearby is Canterbury and we enjoyed two days there (we are not from the UK so this was all new to us). There is a lot to do in the area such as Deal and Walmer Castle. The service at the nearby Enterprise Car Rental (10 minutes away by car) was outstanding and they drove my husband back to Holland Cottage when we turned in the car. I'm not sure I'll make it back to this area as there's so much world to see, but if I ever did I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Summary: We spent a couple nights mid-week at Beach View and had a lovely time. The location is superb, nestled between Joss and Botany Bay, directly across (1 minute walk) from Kingsgate Bay. A perfect location for beach enthusiasts with kids who like exploring. And just a minutes drive from the cafes, pubs and restaurants of Broadstairs, The accommodation itself was very comfortable with ample space and mod cons. Would definitely recommend it, and hopefully return one day.

Summary: Selected by the picture on the internet site, showing the 250 year old house from the sea side, we immideatly decided to book it. We were 4 persons (2 adults, 2 boys of 16 and 17). All Information on the net was comprehensive and we could communicate in German by email to book it. The location was easy to find (navi) and the car parking place in front of the house was always available for us. The flat on 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen with place for 4 persons around a table, a large living room and 2 tiolets/bathrooms (one shower, one bath). We liked the old house and its history, and the old and comfortable furnitures as well. From our bed we could see every morning the sunrise at the sea. Everything was clean and even mains power adaptors for German hairdryer and for mobille phones were there. Thanks to the hole week of sunny and warm weather, we really enjoyed the time in England like "summer" holidays. Broadstairs centre is around 2 miles away and Margate, the village in the North around 3 miles. A car is necessary to go to the next place for shopping or for lunch/dinner. In front of the house, just on the other side of the small road, there is a bay with sandy beach, which is surrounded by white cliffs, including the "Kingsgate". We regularly went to the shopping area outside Broadstairs (after passing St. Peter), where everything can be bought for living and more. We recommend to visit the other villages along the north and east/south coast to see all the white cliffs, the harbors, the little nice beach houses and many other things. Canterburry is just 45 min away and we spent one day there. Unfortunately the fee to get into the cathedral is really high and we skiped that part. One day we went to London, what is around 80 miles from Broadstairs. We stopped / parked the car in Greenwich and took the Thames bus (a very fast ship), which brought us near to Big Ben. As told by a man in the Greenwich post office "Greenich takes all your money, before you enter London City", we had to pay a lot for parking (note, only 1 pound coins are accepted on the parking). Alternatively the train would work as well, starting in Broadstairs or Margate. We can honestly recommend the house/flat for vacations in Kent and we would like to come back.
