Positive: Third time to Pirgos, first time at this property so we knew the location. Part way uphill so not to far to get to the top and look across the whole island and easy walk down and back to the town centre. Nice restaurant next door. Hosts could not do enough for us, arranging taxi from the port and also later to the airport.

Negative: Only down side for us was the roof top terrace as unfortunately access to it means leaving the property and and going round the corner to get on the roof.

Summary: Great property and hosts who gave great advice on things to do.

Positive: Incredible stay at the 1949 caves for 4 nights days in Pyrgos. A pleasure to stay in this brand new apartment, the effort in set up is very clear - all the amenities, small touches within the property were truly great. Great communication from Penelope before and during my stay. Amazing hospitality, we were genuinely so grateful. All amenities required Available (although we didn't use all)! The Jacuzzi and balcony were absolutely amazing too! Photos do not do this place justice, in reality it will truly exceed your expectations! Very spacious property, enough space for 4 guests. Amazing value and would happily stay again / recommend to others.

It´s situated close to many amazing restaurants and cafes. We highly recommend the neighbours of Cava Alta for their delicious food. Last but not least, a special shout-out and thank you to the hostess, Penelope! She went above and beyond to make our stay an absolute joy! 5+ stars for 1949 Cave Residence & Penelope.
