Positive: Really beautiful colonial house with hreat athmosphere. Super nice staff ♥️ Everything was super clean. Good breakfast. It´s located between MRT station Sam Yot (15 minutes by walk or short grab ride) and Chinatown. It’s really close to Royal palace.

Negative: Room 3 is quite small, byt it is cozy and we didn’t mind.

Positive: A highlight of 1905 was the staff. They were all incredibly nice and helpful. The breakfast was really good - so much food, including fresh fruit, fresh drinks and as much coffee as you would like. The neighborhood was safe and also very quiet, a nice reprieve from the chaos of the area in general. We also like the location, being within easy walking distance of the Grand Palace, What Pho and Wat Arun. The bed was super comfortable and I'd rate the shower "power" as one of the best and most powerful we've experienced - and after spending all day out in the heat of Bangkok, it was beyond refreshing.

Negative: The room was very small, though to be fair, the description on-line matches the room exactly. Related, the window coverings and lack of clear outside view make the room a bit stifling if you plan to spend any time just relaxing in it, and while it does have 2 chairs for sitting, the room is so small and dark, that for us, it wasn't an accommodation that begs for you to spend much time in other than sleeping.

Summary: A quiet, clean and safe refuge, easily within walking distance of Grand Palace & Wat Pho & Arun.

Positive: We loved how old and well kept the property was. The managers were really nice as well!

Negative: Upon returning from dinner on the one night we were staying at the hotel, we were told that the water system in the building was broken, which meant that we’d need to be shifted to another sister hotel next door, which wasn’t nearly as nice as 1905. The hotel did offer us some nominal compensation for our inconvenience. Not a huge deal because it was only one night, but just something for other travellers to keep in mind since the building is old, and the property itself is small (3 rooms only).

Summary: Would love to go back and actually experience 1905 someday!

Positive: The property is super well located. The staff is super nice, always there for you if you need anything 24/24. I spent 2 nights at the hotel and they surprised me with a slice of cake waiting for me on my 2nd night and made a breakfast box at check out at 5.30am. Great service! I highly recommend if it is your first time in Bangkok!
